    I attended an appointment for a cervical screening. The nurse practitioner carrying out my test was very lovely and reassuring, making sure to keep me informed throughout the process. During the booking process for this appointment the reception staff gave me options for a date that works for me and we're very helpful. I have been at the surgery for a number of years and have always found all of the staff to be kind, caring and very professional, in a job that is becoming increasingly difficult.

    Aside from their delayed or late feedback regarding a genetics appointment, I had to follow up with them persistently! Today was just the height of it. I called to book an appointment this morning and was told I wasn’t registered with the practice. Note that I just used this service three days prior, which was a Friday. I told the lady from the practice who I was on the call with. She reviewed the records, verified the information, and informed me that they had recently terminated my service due (to information they claimed was received from another service provider totally unrelated, whom I had no interaction with) to a change in my address. I told her I had not moved. Even if this were true, shouldn't the administrator or whoever is in charge verify this with me before abruptly terminating my service with them? It is just all so annoying and frustrating. I have been chasing for months for a referral and more information on a test result. I also can't log on to my NHS app anymore. Some of the doctors with whom I have interacted have been helpful, though but I can’t say the same about the admin team.

    I and my family have had a good experience with Laurel Bank over the years. We were with them for few years and every time they were trying their best to be helpful. They listen to the patient or the carer and try to do the best for them. I have had wonderful experience with them and would recommend them to friends and family. A sincere thanks to all the staffs who work there and their dedication to patient care. Just to give you a concrete example, I had some stomach issues and I was given an urgent appointment and taken care of immediately. They explained my situation and gave me choices on how to move forward. I felt calm and reassured after my experience.

    Since registering with Laurel Bank, every single person I have spoken to has been amazing. Every time you call reception or go in and speak to them the ladies there are so welcoming, understanding and caring. Every doctor and nurse I have spoken to has been efficient, listened to me carefully and gone above and beyond to help me out. It really feels like they care, and as someone who has dealt with a lot of surgeries in the past from moving around, it is so refreshing for a GP to be so well run. I would 10/10 recommend this surgery to anyone and everyone.
