After receiving a doctors appointment in good time through the triage service, I had the good fortune to be seen by a new Doctorto me. An affable man who immediately inspired confidence and was well aware of my medical history prior to my entrance into the surgery. He explained my condition in terms I could understand and immediately put me at ease. Many thanks to him and the surgery.

Disappointed that I still haven't been contacted after an online triage for my disabled child. The text confirmation said I'd be contacted with two days, but still nothing. I try my best not to burden the NHS but being so concerned about my child I now have no other option than to attend A&E when all I wanted was a GP appointment.

I have been struggling with a knee problem for a couple of weeks, the Dr has been brilliant with me making sure I had X-rays and seen by an Orthopaedic doctor. It is my view that she has gone above and beyond ringing me in the evening with the results from X-Rays putting my mind at rest.

The Doctor, currently on a short term attachment, firstly apologised for a short delay in seeing me, which I totally accepted. The Doctor then conducted my examination in a professional and thorough manner during which I was made fully aware of her actions and made to feel at ease. I was then asked to arrange an appointment re bloods with a practice nurse with the probability of a follow up discussion going forward. Overall totally satisfied.

Didn’t wait too long to be seen. Bloods taken without any problems. Nurse was very nice. My blood pressure was taken also.

After seeing my GP I had an urgent referral to the Rhumitology department at Tameside. Within two hours of seeing my GP I had a phone call from Tameside offering a choice of appointments. The consultant prescribed steroids and said she would try to speed the process due to me being in pain. I later phoned the Rhumitology department and spoke to the secretary. The secretary found my notes and arranged to email them to my GP for approval. I spoke to the lady on reception ant my local surgery and asked if she could help speed the process. She returned my call within the hour saying the prescription had been approved and sent to my local chemist. Repeat prescriptions at my local chemist usually take 8/10 days but when I visited and explained the situation my prescription was made up while I waited. The empathy, efficiency and professionalism that everyone demonstrated was outstanding. It was the NHS at so many levels at its best and I wish to say thank you.
