  1. Review titled Good standard of care

    by Miner'sKid - Posted on 22 May 2022

I was away from home and, again, experiencing symptoms of infection.  I was advised to speak with a GP.  I registered with Knowle House as a temporary patient (they were a previous GP for me).  The phone was answered relatively quickly and the receptionist helped me to register.  I was advised to use the online symptom reporting process which was easy to use and allowed me to provide information about my symptoms.  I received a telephone call that same afternoon.  After discussing what was going on in more detail I was offered a face-to-face appointment the following morning.  The practitioner was understanding and checked my obs and for infection.  I was offered advice and a choice of pharmacy to collect antibiotics from.  The prescription was sent within an hour and I received a text to advise me of this.  I was able to collect the antibiotics within an hour of the text.  Really impressed by this and so different from my experience at my registered GP (up country) where I have tried to receive help for the same symptoms of infection on several occasions and usually end up clogging up 111, or worse, when the infection has worsened due to the lack of response from that service and/or the way that GP and their nominated pharmacy manage patients reporting infections.
