Review titled Awful practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 March 2025
Last month I called the surgery and I was caller number six, after being the position for 20/25 minutes I ended up being a few minutes walk away (I was pushing my baby trying to get her to sleep) so I decided to walk there whilst still being on hold. When I got there the receptionist was doing nothing. There was no queue, no phone ringing, no patients. There is always extremely long phone waiting times and I have reason to believe it is unnecessary. Then today I reported via online consult that I was in so much pain that the slightest movement hurt to which I received a text, that you can’t reply to, saying I should visit a pharmacy. I can’t even turn over in bed without screaming in pain so they clearly have not read my Econsult properly. Many co workers and people of the community have expressed their feelings of being dismissed by the staff here and after only being with them for a few short months i shall be moving practices myself.

Review titled Rude receptionists and unceremonious removal from practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionists were always abrasive and short when you rang up. I'd often find myself having to mentally gear myself up if I needed to ring, repeating to myself what I would say, and how concisely I could say it, to avoid the inevitable cut off by the person on the other side of the phone. Obviously this is not how anybody should feel when ringing their g.p. however, I stayed there because the Doctors and Nurses on staff were always good. I was with them for 20 years until last year when I received a letter informing me that, because of altered catchment areas, I was no longer allowed to continue being a patient there. I was really upset and rang to see if anything could be done. I was promptly told no (rather unkindly) and that was that. It was very shocking to realise no matter how long you ate with your g.p, a change it catchment can mean you have to leave a surgery you have been with for years, despite not moving house. This combined with the general unpleasantness of the reception staff, means I could never recommend this surgery.
