  1. Review titled Rude receptionists and unceremonious removal from practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionists were always abrasive and short when you rang up. I'd often find myself having to mentally gear myself up if I needed to ring, repeating to myself what I would say, and how concisely I could say it, to avoid the inevitable cut off by the person on the other side of the phone. Obviously this is not how anybody should feel when ringing their g.p. however, I stayed there because the Doctors and Nurses on staff were always good. I was with them for 20 years until last year when I received a letter informing me that, because of altered catchment areas, I was no longer allowed to continue being a patient there. I was really upset and rang to see if anything could be done. I was promptly told no (rather unkindly) and that was that. It was very shocking to realise no matter how long you ate with your g.p, a change it catchment can mean you have to leave a surgery you have been with for years, despite not moving house. This combined with the general unpleasantness of the reception staff, means I could never recommend this surgery.

  3. Review titled The Doctors Surgery to contact if……

Rated 1 star out of 5

You want to be belittled by some of the rudest, most unhelpful, incapable of showing empathy receptionists on the planet. They are impossible to talk too (unless your one a their friends) on the phone, like the equivalent of keyboard warriors. As someone that suffers from severe mental health issues, the phone guards employed here have been the cause of multiple crisis events that I have suffered. Don’t get me wrong, if you are one of the lucky few that manage to see a GP, they are brilliant, will always listen and explain things clearly and in non DR jargon. But dear me the receptionists are appalling. Every thing the say, regardless of is abrasive and with an attitude. If reading this stops even one person from using this surgery whilst current receptionists are still continuing in the current way I will be beyond happy. Absolutely shocking
