Review titled Please Be Inclusive
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 February 2024
Why is it that every time that I try to hand in a prescription on behalf of an elderly relative I am told that the receptionist can’t/won’t accept it? Only after producing photographic evidence of a sign previously displayed in the practice foyer is the prescription begrudgingly accepted. The sign clearly stated that prescriptions would still be accepted by reception if the patient did not have access to the internet, a telephone or had communication problems.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As the review is anonymous, I have been unable to discuss your concerns with you. I am sorry if you felt that the Receptionist was unhelpful as this is never our intention. You are indeed, correct, that we will always accept a prescription request from patients who have communication needs, have no telephone or internet. I am sorry if you felt that this was not a straight forward process and caused you any upset. I have today discussed this complaint with the Reception team and reinforced the situation where patients struggle to request a prescription, and that we must always be empathetic and help patients and families to the best we can. I hope that the next time you need to make a request, it is a more satisfactory process for you. The Practice Manager

Review titled Unacceptable waiting times with baby
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by J E - Posted on 12 January 2024
My Grand Daughter had an appointment today at 11.10hrs and as I write this review is still waiting to be seen. The time now is gone mid day. Totally unacceptable that you should make babies wait this long to be seen. I understand that sometimes someone may take a little longer and cause a short delay but not 50 mins plus. Babies should be prioritised due to feeding schedules etc. My Daughter has spoken to staff but as per never very helpful. I feel the Practice Manager should review and ensure this does not occur again.

Dear Patient, I am sorry to hear that you had a long wait to see the Doctor with your Grand-daughter and baby. Unfortunately, the Doctors can run a little late if they are seeing a very poorly or complex patient. However, if this happens, Reception notify any patients that are waiting and inform them of the delay. I am sorry if this did not happen? I have spoken to our Reception team to reinforce this procedure should a Doctor run late, and also to be aware if any babies are waiting longer than necessary, that we inform the GP. I hope that your next visit to the Practice is more satisfactory in relation to waiting times. The Practice Manager

Review titled Excellent customer service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Mom and I have been registered here since 2017 & not needed much help, but whenever we have, the friendly receptionists have done their utmost to help out & the Nurse & GPs have always been helpful. Today I was worried about a wound on mom’s leg which hadn’t been healing. I called this morning and was in a phone queue for around 10 minutes, and then the receptionist was professional & helpful - even offering a slightly later appointment to allow mom more time to get ready. GP was friendly, patient and very reassuring - and very smiley which always helps! Thank you

Review titled Great treatment and flexibility
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 November 2023
As an older and disabled patient of the practice I wanted to post that I recently, when in a spot of bother, received the most caring and kind treatment from the receptionists, and similarly very kind and flexible treatment from the nurses. When my mobility equipment had let me down this practise ensured that three items of healthcare got taken care of, when I feared all these things would have to go on the back burner.

My back went while I on was on holiday and I had to contact my surgery, Kingsfield Medical Centre, for medication for the pain. The receptionists were extremely helpful and kind arranging a telephone appointment with a doctor as quickly as possible. I spoke to the doctor who was very sympathetic and reassuring and I received the prescription within minutes. On returning home I spoke to another doctor who promptly arranged for me to go to Accident and Emergency I was so impressed with the speed and level of care I received. I felt that the whole practice, despite me being long distance, had been very nurturing and caring. I was very well looked after.
