  1. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jonathan lee - Posted on 06 May 2025

I will preface this to say that I am not one for leaving reviews but compelled to do so in this case. I haven’t had much cause to access the GP services but have had a bout of illness that meant I needed some support. My initial appointment with a GP that I won’t name was disastrous and left me feeling worried about moving forward. Without much choice I resolved to going back again and was given an appointment with another Doctor. Whilst for some unknown reason I am not allowed to give their name works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and has the initials ab. This was night and day to my first experience and I was immediately reassured and a long term plan put in place. She was able to explain things in a manner that showed she was not only extremely knowledgeable but that she really listened and wanted to help. She is personable and caring whilst still straight talking when needed. I am four months into being treated and am genuinely grateful for all she has done. She was able to look past the obvious symptoms that I dare say many would have missed and get to the root cause of the issue. She is a credit to her profession and the practice is lucky to have her. Furthermore, despite my initial issue with the first GP the practice has been excellent. I have been able to get appointment when required, the facilities are great and the reception staff friendly and helpful.

  2. Review titled Amazing!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Fiona - Posted on 15 February 2024

I phoned Kingfisher Surgery on Wednesday morning, explained my symptoms and was efficiently sign posted to necessary medical team. They too were very helpful; completed a triage form and was told to expect a phone call back by a professional between the times given to me. They were understanding and very helpful and said I required treatment, so they arranged a prescription for me but said if I had any further problems not to hesitate seeking help. I had to phone Kingfisher Practice on Thursday afternoon as my symptoms were getting worse and the Receptionist offered me an appointment for an hour later. I saw the Nurse Practitioner and a further prescription was issued. I would like to thank everyone involved ……….. you are all stars!!

  3. Review titled Amazing staff / brilliant practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My son and I have moved home many times and therefore been registered at quite a few Drs surgeries. Kingfisher has to be the best one . The reception staff are lovely ( my ability to communicate at times is hampered when I’m having a bad day) . They are always patient and beyond helpful. The nurses understand not everyone likes needles and really take into account what each person needs to make this experience as pain free as possible. I’ve seen several of the GPs, and each one has listened. Actually listened. That might seem a small thing to others but to me it makes the difference between me coping and not. I have never had a bad experience at this practice.
