  1. Review titled Dreadful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

After 17 years of being registered here I suddenly get a text to say I have to find another practice as I am now living out of their catchment area! I have been on the same medication for over 3 years and it has never been checked to ensure it is still relevant!

I have been with this surgery for almost 17 years but received a text (not even a phone call) to say that as there were so many people in the borough I now live out if their catchment area despite still trying to find out why I am losing so much weight! The doctors are never there, their e-consult service is hardly ever available and if you can get through on the phone sometimes you can be cut off!

  3. Review titled poor administration, not particularly knowledgeable GPs

Rated 1 star out of 5

despite pretty atrocious reviews online I signed up as they were the only practice still taking patients in my local area. Months passed without hearing anything from them (in a later phone call I found out this was as they hadn't finished registering me). I had a couple of health issues I needed help with one of which was relatively urgent I followed their own instructions and first filled in the E Consult form which took the better part of an evening (very detailed) I was promised I'd hear back within one working day didn't hear anything, went through months of limbo including a couple of failed attempts to get through to the surgery. Ultimately out of desperation I went to a private GP who was able to solve some of the issues I be looking into pretty much instantly ( including the relatively urgent issue) but did point me back to deal with the other ones urgently with the NHS (as the costs to get the support privately would be prohibitive,I'm a charity worker who can't really afford to do this,So while I didn't have any choice for the initial investigation, you might have to head back to the nhs for anything long-term expensive) they more or less spelt out what I needed to tell the NHS doctor to do (and my rights) when I eventually got hold of them seems they'd just lost all of the information from the e consult (this was now approximately four months after I'd originally filled in the form...) didn't know what to do about it, leading to me having to repeat a load of information that I wasn't that comfortable sharing in the first place. I was first told it was impossible for them to book an appointments unless it was urgent due to issues with this system, and only after I threatened to make a formal complaint did they suddenly find their system was working, and were able to book me an appointment. The thing I found most shocking is how blase they were about this really poor experience when I pointed out this isn't how the NHS is meant to work their response was I should just find another practice.... Once the actual appointment happened I read out the information I've been given by the private GP and was frankly shocked at how little the doctor seem to know about relatively simple topic, they were generally argumentative and didn't want to listen to my medical history and generally seem to be lost by the whole process. I'm now theoretically having some blood tests (although I don't necessarily trust the surgery to arrange this) although for a potential cause that has previously been ruled out (years ago...) so seems to be a complete waste of time and from what I gather, despite being a situation where I fulfil all of the requirements to be able to access a specialist service they're delaying this I think because they don't seem to properly understand the process/my background (information they'd have if they'd either listened to me or not lost the e consult info) need to either have completely new leadership or be shut down
