We have attended this Surgery for a number of years. Recently, regardless of what time you manage to get an appointment you always have to wait way beyond that time because the Doctor is always behind. When you have young children who are not well this makes things incredibly difficult. We booked an appointment today for 10am, when we arrived we were told it would be a one hour wait to be seen!? How does that happen? And like I say this isn’t the first time. The appointment was for our young son, incredibly frustrating. It would be helpful to know that js are aware of this issue and are looking into remedying the situation moving forward?

The services that I receive is excellent. Doctors and the staff are friendly and very helpful. I have always been able to book an appointment, when I needed. I would recommend this gp practice to my friends and everyone.

My family and I have been visiting the Westbury Avenue GP practice for Almost 20 years, and we have always been satisfied with the care and services. Today was no different from previous visitation to the practice. I went to pickup my mother’s Urine test kit and I didn’t need to wait long as it was ready in less than five minutes. Along with providing efficient services, the doctors, Practice manager and receptionist are all friendly and helpful.

Trying to get an appointment is impossible- when you do it is so far away you could be dead before you get seen- what is the point?

Dear Patient, Thank you for writing this feedback and we are sorry that you could not get an appointment recently. You could send e consult ( Link is in our website ) for which we respond to it within 24-48 hours as per your symptoms. If I may suggest that if you could generally inform the receptionist your symptoms ( all staff bound by confidentiality agreement ) they may request a telephone call to a duty doctor. We would appreciate if you could speak to our senior receptionist or Manager to try and help . Thank you and Kind Regards Practice/Finance manager

My elderly parents have being patients of the practice at Westbury Avenue for 57 years and in recent years have both needed many appointments, tests and general help. I have to continually call the practice for advice and help and the receptionists are always as kind and helpful as they can possibly be with the incredible workload and constraints that working in a “post” COVID NHS practice has. I could not ask for more help.

I've had to approach the surgery twice in the past year, the first by phone (during the whole Covid thing) and recently in person. On both occasions the receptionists were empathetic and helpful and I was able to make prompt appointments. I saw the same GP both times (last year a phone consultation and recently face-to-face) and it was such a relief to talk to someone who was listening and who asked sensible questions, offered realistic advice, discussed options and arranged follow-up.
