I have been with this practice for nearly 40 years and have always had amazing service. On this occasion I spoke to the practice last week about a sick note (which was dealt with perfectly) and at the same time asked for a salbutamol inhaler, as I have been using mine a lot. I was given the prescription but was also given an appointment to see the nurse about my “asthma”. Went for the appointment today and the nurse listened to me, as I thought it was a chest infection, rather than asthma. She did some checks, agreed with me and arranged for me to see the doctor. I saw the doctor, who checked me out, agreed it was a chest infection and gave me a prescription for antibiotics, which I picked up straightaway from the attached pharmacy. I was only in the building for 40 minutes and everything was sorted. This is typical of my experience over the past 40 years! They listen, check things out and are very thorough. Amazing service!

I’ve been waiting all day for my phone consultation and even rang back just before closing for lunch to be told the doctor will ring me soon, the practice is now closed and I can’t get hold of anyone this is extremely stressful and unprofessional

Thank you for your feedback, to follow this up could you please contact the Practice Manager at the surgery. An audit has been done of the appointments and there were none that were left not completed.

To keep it brief, the staff there on reception were so helpful and kind when enquiring about seeing the GP, and also in follow up help (referral letter). The GP I saw took time to put me at ease and also to listen to my problems. She offered me options of ways forward and allowed me to make that decision with her support. I am really grateful as this appointment has allowed me to get the assistance I need. I have never yet had a bad experience with any of the Support Staff or the Medical Staff.

A big thanks to the receptionists who helped me when I went on holiday to Wales and forgot my medication. They were kind and efficient and it was sorted by 4pm that afternoon. The V consult option and phone triage are excellent and so helpful when I'm at work as means I can get an appointment earlier as I don't have to physically get to the surgery. The doctors I have met have always been very professional, caring and helpful. Thanks Jiggins Lane Medical Centre

I've been a patient at Jiggins Lane for 15 years now and have always received great care, as have my children. Yes, it can be frustrating calling multiple times at 8.30 to get an appointment, but the new triage system actually works quite well. I've had a couple of health issues in the last six months and have always managed to speak to a GP the same day, with a follow up face to face appointment booked within a couple of days where it was needed. Both of the GPs I've spoken to have sent follow up texts/called me when agreed and have been supportive and attentive.
