  1. Review titled mediocre

It took an hour to access, fill and negotiate the form on line. I tried to phone 6 times at around 8.00am-not available number, training, engaged, then number 30 in queue, at which point I gave this route up. Anyway apparently you can no longer book appointments on the phone. Most questions on form were not relevant to my ailment, but filled what I could. I really do not know what people without computers or not computer savvy actually are expected to do. But, I did receive a call soon after from a doctor. First I was asked to see an associate, but said I'd prefer a doctor. This was ok and I had an appointment booked later that morning. I waited 20 minutes after the appointmat time and then saw the doctor. That's ok. After consult, I had to arrange blood tests and couldn't get an appointment for these until a week later, so have to carry on with my symptoms for another week and I know I'll need to wait for the results for probably another week or more. I had already left trying to make an appointment for two weeks as it was.Overall, I'm disappointed. The website boasts all is simple, fast and efficient, but it is more difficult and slow. This is why I have avoided making any appointments over the past two years at times when I have felt the need. At least I got an appointment and felt a little relieved afterwards, but I feel the service at Jenner is nowhere near as good as it used to be. It's also a shame we can never see the same doctor anymore either.

  2. Review titled Problem with online booking

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The centralized booking system now enables you to say when you are not available to take a phone call. This is very helpful for those of us whose work requires that their phones are turned off during office hours. Unfortunately, having given clear details of when I would not be able to take a call, the practice proceeded to contact me at those times, meaning I missed several calls before finally getting through. Can this be corrected, please?

  3. Review titled Is this called progress,? If so,sad very sad

Rated 1 star out of 5

I received a blood test result in November 2023 which indicated diabetes. I spoke with a doctor who recommended another blood test in three months to check the results, as it could have been a false reading. The blood test results were repeated in January 2024. Nobody rang or contacted me with the results. I then received a text message asking me to make an appointment with someone at the health centre with regard my feet. When I met this person I enquired why I have been asked to make this appointment. He informed me that I was diabetic and needed to have my feet checked. I said this is the first I had heard about being diabetic, he said you should have been contacted before, and he will chase this up for me. 4 days later I have heard nothing, and today I filled in an online form in the hope that someone will contact me . What has happened to the care of patients? Am I wrong to be thinking that with this new condition I have, that someone would have contacted me.I cannot find the mission statement for the health center but assume that there is one, and would like to think that in it somewhere it states that patient care and well-being is a top priority. In this instance it does not appear to have been successful.Somewhere along the line it has been forgotten that we are human beings capable of feelings of anxiety , stress, frustration. Communication with the health center to help alleviate any of these feelings is complicated at best. Online forms (which have been designed by someone with great technical ability, but very little empathy for the ageing population who are likely to be using them, or the confusion during the process) with multiple tick boxes for multiple statements, a Labyrinth which may eventually lead to someone, who may or may not be a doctor, at the end of a phone calling you.

  4. Review titled Accessing services extremely difficult

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by Alison L - Posted on 11 January 2024

Since Modality took over accessing services is a nightmare. This is exacerbated by the short time windows provided for Internet access, in particular the break in service over lunchtime, which isn't clearly explained anywhere. Firstly, the system for requesting repeat medications has deteriorated. I used to be able to see details of all my meds and when the next request was due. Now I have to remember names of meds and when they were last prescribed. Secondly, the form to report symptoms/request appointments is tediously long, very clunky (looks as if it was designed by a schoolchildren in the 1980s) and unclear. Thirdly, I am autistic and find phonecalls difficult. Fourthly, if I've endured formfilling and a phonecall I find face to face appointments frustrating- I've already told you everything twice. Lastly, as an autistic person I requested that I see the same GP consistently, this was agreed but rarely happens. I find dealing with unknown people very stressful.

  5. Review titled Appalling Treatment by Jenner Centre (Modality)

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2023

My surgery has recently joined the Jenner Centre (Modality) and since joining they/their systems have completely made my life a misery where I cannot get the medication because it’s been knocked off my records despite my GP requesting it. There is always an extremely bad experience I have to endure every time I need a repeat prescription or need a doctors appointment. My complaints go unheeded which snowballs and has a negative effect on my health and well-being.
