Date 05.02.2024 a very pleasant day I had with the doctor who did my checkup, a nice doctor and I really wish all the doctors were like her, I thank her from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful and pleasant day

I called for an appointment for my baby and then I went for my appointment . Doctor saw my baby on time. Overall my experience was positive.

Absolutely disgusting service. The rudest and most disrespectful reception staff that I’ve had the misfortune to deal with and sadly they are all equally terrible. If my father was not elderly and disabled I would change surgery. They treat patients with absolute contempt. I have called 3 times in 2 weeks for referral to diabetic podiatry. Each time promised a call back and no one has the courtesy to call. On Friday I took afternoon off work to go there personally to speak to someone. They were even more unhelpful in person than on the telephone if that’s even possible!! Still no referral for my elderly father. Not once do they ever apologise for not calling back and doing as they promise. To make matters worse the receptionist working on Friday evening refused point blank to give me a name or email address of the practice manager so I could make a complaint. Eventually someone came out and found a dodgy photocopied complaints form!! Even still whilst at the surgery no acknowledging that their inefficiency meant I had to take time off to go in personally. She wrote details on a scrap of paper and said referral team would call me Monday. Guess what? No call! 4th time now! I have never known a surgery where the practice manager can not be contacted!! Either the referral team are incompetent or the receptionists or both!! What that does sadly mean that an elderly pensioner that urgently needs a referral is still not being supported by ilford medical centre despite them being very aware of his ill health. There was a woman in front of me Friday with a young child. She was clearly distressed and crying. Again the receptionist showed her no empathy at all. Luckily another patient stepped in to help her but the same rude receptionist just kept repeating herself to a sobbing parent. Again didn’t hear a single apology. Sorry clearly not in their vocabulary. I’m sure I’ll get the usual response to other complaints on here. Luckily this is not my surgery but unfortunate my poor elderly father is being treated with contempt, rudeness and subject to their totally inefficiency.

I had a smear test. The nurse was so friendly, calming and positive. She explained everything that was going to happen and put me at ease. I have had many before, but this was such a positive experience. I would definitely ask for this particular nurse again.

I was seen by the doctor in a patient and thorough manner; this enabled me to listen and feedback...Putting my issue on an e-consult as a first step was a helpful way to explain it to the doctor.

Phoned for an emergency appointment for my infected C-section scar. The receptionist on the phone was understanding and told me to wait for a phone call from the doctor for a consultation. The doctor phoned within an hour and booked me in for that afternoon with a nurse who could dress the scar. Arrived to the surgery and there was a bit of a wait. The nurse called me in and asked if it was okay for a student nurse to be in the same room where she was going to give me treatment. The nurse was great. She gave me privacy to undress, looked at my scar and even called in the doctor to get a second opinion. The doctor came and checked my scar and prescribed me antibiotics. The nurse then dressed my scar and told me to be brave by looking at my scar and dressing it. She made me stand in front of the mirror and made me look at the scar and dress it. I hadn’t done that since giving birth as it was something I didn’t have the guts to do. She pushed me to do and I appreciate all the support. She advised me what to do and told me to come back if anything went wrong with the scar again. Very compassionate, caring and supportive.

Very nice staff. Culturally serves. I don't speak English well, but the staff at the reception, doctors, nurses are amazing and cultured. He tries to listen, understand and help. Always responds to the problem. He calls, he cares about my health. If necessary, order a translation. I am very grateful.
