turned up for appointment on time only to be forgotten (not booked in by reception)waited 30 mins + for a blood test and still no sign so i cancelled and left while leaving a patient with a later appointment had seen the same nurse before me ? patients get 10 mins past app time then they can`t see anyone, all i got was excuses very poor practice.

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to review Ilex View Medical Practice. I have had the opportunity to review the appointment data regarding your recent appointment with us. I can confirm our receptionist did check you in for your appointment on arrival at the practice. Unfortunately, the patient seen before your appointment was unwell. This meant their appointment took 31 minutes, instead of the planned 10 minutes. I apologise for this. I understand you were under the impression your appointment would be in room 8, hence why you believed patients who arrived after you had been seen before you. However, on this occasion, you were booked in with our clinician in room 4 and I can confirm that in the 27 minutes you were waiting to be seen the clinician was caring for the 1 unwell patient for the entire duration of your visit. After discussing the availability of a phone appointment I said I'd only have an hour free today at 2pm and instead of just accepting that that was my only free time and mooving on to another day, she just cut me off and rudly exclaimed that's not how it works... I was under the impression we both had to attend. If I'm not free, there is no appointment. That's how that works. Just spoken to another member of staff and she had no problemb at all getting me an appointment ment as close to 2pm as she could fine me with absolutely no rased voices.

Dear Joe, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you feel disappointed with your recent contact with the practice. With regards to emergency on-the-day telephone appointments, We do ask that our receptionists do not inform patients that they can guarantee telephone calls for specific times, as due to the nature of general practice, and the emergencies that arise, it is often difficult for our clinicians to call at specific times. As all our calls are recorded, I have had the opportunity to listen to your call. I feel our receptionist was kind, courteous, and helpful throughout the call and I would be happy to invite you into the practice to listen to the call. Over the years I have had needed help from my GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The receptionists are always very helpful and go the extra mile to help me. The Doctors and Advanced Nurse Practitioner have always been very good and make sure by sending to a Consultant if they think this is required. I have been with this Practice for 16 years, I have no complaints and I certainly would never want to leave A thank you to all for my ongoing care .
