I rang them this morning to ask advice on chest pains they told me I needed to ring 111. I rang 111 and they told me they were making me over the phone appointment with my GP and if I didn’t receive one to ring them. I rang the doctors 6 hours later and they said sorry it was miss communication and that a GP would ring soon, she did and was so rude to me asking me why I rang 111 in the first place even though I was told too by them. She then went on to say they couldn’t treat me because I don’t live close anymore- I wasn’t told this by the receptionist/ the doctor before then she said very bluntly if you have chest pains go to A and E. I got so upset I hung up. I’m still suffering from covid and have shortness of breath and I just wanted abit of advice, I didn’t want to burden A and E if it wasn’t needed but it seemed that everyone I spoke to just got me to ring someone else even though it wasn’t the right thing to do.
