    receptionists are great not so sure about the doctors never see me hardly !! we need more doctors to see us and i can hardly even hear on the phone appointments ! not good need better service from doctors

    After I didn't recieve a call back from my gp. On the second attempt to speak to my gp I was very happy with the service offered. I had face to face consultation and a referral to physiotherapist. Thank you

  3. Review titled Take a long time to answer the phone.

    Every time I contact the surgery, I am told that I'm number 1 in the line and this can take up to at least 5-10 minutes before I talk to a Receptionist. Once I get to talk to someone, they have to have advice from another colleague!!! So I am thinking about changing doctors.

    Dear Patient I am sorry to see that you have struggled to contact the Practice via the telephone. We are currently experiencing increased demand on our telephone lines and our patient services team has been working very hard to answer calls under the additional pressure. I recognise that difficulties in accessing the Practice can be extremely frustrating for our patients and I apologise unreservedly for any upset or inconvenience. You can also request an appointment by attending the Practice reception from 8am or using our online option. Kind regards Patient Experience Team

    I went in for a doctor’s appointment and asked if I can book a flu jab. The receptionist was very helpful and understanding and booked me in straight after my doctor’s appointment. The nurse was very thorough and noticed I didn’t have a health check done for a while…and told me that as she has a bit of time spare she’ll do it there and then. So, all in all, extremely helpful staff and very thorough and informative nurse. Really pleased with today’s visit at Hill Crest Surgery.

    GP very empathic with the situation that my brother in law, patient and myself main carer. Listened and advised as well as providing the medication needed in this situation

    I had a great experience from the HCA that took my blood test today, she is very professional in her field. In fact she is great, she made the blood Sample taken more easy and relaxed for me than the previous experience, that I had to travel to Good Hope Hospital for blood tests. Thank you for been a good staff and competent in your field .

    I have been seen by a nurse who was very good and took her time and not rushed me. The doctor then saw me and said my blood pressure was a bit high and I might have a virus.

    Why make patients wait for over an hour to tell them nothing is available. Just terminate the call and stop wasting time for both. If you have requested the patient to call, why can't it be arranged. A follow up should be booked in after test results, not the patient chasing for time!

    Friendly nurse put me at ease. She answered any questions I asked and explained what the appointment was and what it was for. She explained I would I would be contacted if there was a concern of any sort. She took my blood pressure and weighed me. She also took my bloods which she with ease. Often it takes two or three attempts.

    Was seen on time, doctor was pleasant and polite , at times though telephone communication is very long winded and time consuming, would like to see this improved.
