  1. Review titled NHS .... No Hope service

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 May 2025

Having lost my husband a few weeks back, he would normally have provided me with some support! I have a serious long term condition, but nobody at this surgery could be bothered to spend 30 seconds to identify or agree it existed. GP's believe older folk are incapable of identifying their own needs. The doctors, the district nurse, the 111 service, area duty doctor for the over all area, and ambulance trip to A&E where I experienced the most appalling lack of care. with a the a doctor who very obviously couldn't be bothered. Unable to walk unaided, I was ordered to find my own way home, gone 10 p.m. and with nobody at home, with a very embarrassing situation to manage, who would allow me in their vehicle? Going back to the GP, their comment was 'they didn't listen' and were apologetic ... a bit late I felt? For the next week I had painful abdominal skin burns, adding to my problems, but nobody has contacted me to see it I am ok, even having one staff member commenting on how many times I had logged onto the system? The only real help I ever get is from my fantastic local pharmacist! The NHS (No Hope Service) now expect everyone to pay to have online services and /or a mobile phone, where patients are known to be 30 to 60th in the phone queue, plus the fact that even intelligent beings don't understand how to access different parts of the invisible service, which of course the patient is paying for. As long as the patients in on the phone ... they are footing the bill! It is very frightening indeed to have the cope with the issues I have, and know there is no one to reach out to in times of a crisis. Having very recently been bereaved, the lack of any care or support, unable to walk unaided to to spinal injury, indeed makes you question why doctors have lists, but are not available to justify their pay. One or two doctors try to appear kind and understanding as long as you are not expecting them to do anything for you, being kind and understanding, claiming to 'care' is not substitute for a 30 second inspection that could have indeed saved the NHS a lot of money ... but when you become 'tarred and feathered', don't expect any support from GP's or the NHS! I am so very disappointed, paying for a private consultation that taught me things about my health, the GP's, the hospital or the 111 service, didn't even know about ... we are indeed a Third World Country ... blessed with the thought that life doesn't last forever!

  2. Review titled Nobody to care for me?

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am recently bereaved, housebound, partially sighted, and struggle to walk a very short distance. I do not know how to communicate with anyone at this practice but they don't care for don't have any real folk working there. To contact anyone at the surgery is a nightmare and NHS services keep us hanging on so long I costs a fortune, it is phone or food? Not everyone has a computer, I have never understood the stupid phone system. Nobody cares at this practice, as much as I explain my issues, I am left to struggle or have to use A&E which appears to be the only option for folk like me. The ambulance control sent ages with me on the phone providing the service that my GP could not provide and was advised to attend A&E when I feel unwell ... if indeed I could get there. I have waited since 2022 for my appointment at Southend Hospital pain clinic, and with not access to a GP, it appears that anyone over a certain age should just go away and die. I request medication that dose not get issued, I am having to obtain medication from other sources, but have to cope with the pain regardless. I feel invisible and a nuisance, nobody cares so what is there left to live for? There are no 'patient records', my marital status has not been changed and my medication is a merry go round, so I have now stopped it. My records are not updated as was always done prior to coming to this practice. Because nobody cares, I have stopped all of my medication. I worry very much for there folk like me, abandoned by their surgery because of the many obstacles put in place to reach a real person. From 1st May I will no longer have a phone or internet connection because of sight problems and costs to maintain a service. Nobody is available to speak to at this surgery, patients now fund the phone system by creating endless needs to have cal repeatedly and be kept handing on, listening to related messages, it is fair to say I would be better off not being a around. We are now a third world country with no health care and no future.

  3. Review titled Gone down hill

Rated 1 star out of 5

I used to be very happy with the surgery but the appointment booking is now practically impossible. For some bizarre reason you can no longer book GP appointments on the app, unless a cancellation comes up so you have to phone but on the phone you can only book emergency appointments for that day. It’s completely useless for people with jobs who have to take time off in order to see the doctor and means everything has to be classed as an emergency. I’ve been trying for weeks to book but as I don’t consider my need to be an emergency I can’t book.

Always go over and above for treatment and care. Very thorough and prompt Dr took bloods from me today so I could take them to the hospital to get results back before Christmas shutdown. Amazing practice. Very lucky to be here

  5. Review titled Always a good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Having moved here two years ago from London and being registered with a brilliant surgery I cannot fault this practice. I have worked myself in practices in London and find the reception staff here are so polite and helpful under very difficult circumstances. The Doctors have been more than helpful and the nurses are very friendly and kind . It is very difficult and stressful working in a GP surgery and have had nothing but kindness when I needed it. Highly recommend.

  6. Review titled Great Surgery

Over the last two years I have been dealing with my Brothers medical appointments and ordering prescriptions due to his loss of most of his sight. Everyone at the Surgery from receptionists to G.P. have been so helpful and efficient! Unfortunately my Brother has passed away... myself and his family would like to convey our thanks.
