Review titled Nobody to care for me?
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2025
I am recently bereaved, housebound, partially sighted, and struggle to walk a very short distance. I do not know how to communicate with anyone at this practice but they don't care for don't have any real folk working there. To contact anyone at the surgery is a nightmare and NHS services keep us hanging on so long I costs a fortune, it is phone or food? Not everyone has a computer, I have never understood the stupid phone system. Nobody cares at this practice, as much as I explain my issues, I am left to struggle or have to use A&E which appears to be the only option for folk like me. The ambulance control sent ages with me on the phone providing the service that my GP could not provide and was advised to attend A&E when I feel unwell ... if indeed I could get there. I have waited since 2022 for my appointment at Southend Hospital pain clinic, and with not access to a GP, it appears that anyone over a certain age should just go away and die. I request medication that dose not get issued, I am having to obtain medication from other sources, but have to cope with the pain regardless. I feel invisible and a nuisance, nobody cares so what is there left to live for? There are no 'patient records', my marital status has not been changed and my medication is a merry go round, so I have now stopped it. My records are not updated as was always done prior to coming to this practice. Because nobody cares, I have stopped all of my medication. I worry very much for there folk like me, abandoned by their surgery because of the many obstacles put in place to reach a real person. From 1st May I will no longer have a phone or internet connection because of sight problems and costs to maintain a service. Nobody is available to speak to at this surgery, patients now fund the phone system by creating endless needs to have cal repeatedly and be kept handing on, listening to related messages, it is fair to say I would be better off not being a around. We are now a third world country with no health care and no future.

I used to be very happy with the surgery but the appointment booking is now practically impossible. For some bizarre reason you can no longer book GP appointments on the app, unless a cancellation comes up so you have to phone but on the phone you can only book emergency appointments for that day. It’s completely useless for people with jobs who have to take time off in order to see the doctor and means everything has to be classed as an emergency. I’ve been trying for weeks to book but as I don’t consider my need to be an emergency I can’t book.

Always go over and above for treatment and care. Very thorough and prompt Dr took bloods from me today so I could take them to the hospital to get results back before Christmas shutdown. Amazing practice. Very lucky to be here

Review titled Always a good experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Having moved here two years ago from London and being registered with a brilliant surgery I cannot fault this practice. I have worked myself in practices in London and find the reception staff here are so polite and helpful under very difficult circumstances. The Doctors have been more than helpful and the nurses are very friendly and kind . It is very difficult and stressful working in a GP surgery and have had nothing but kindness when I needed it. Highly recommend.

Over the last two years I have been dealing with my Brothers medical appointments and ordering prescriptions due to his loss of most of his sight. Everyone at the Surgery from receptionists to G.P. have been so helpful and efficient! Unfortunately my Brother has passed away... myself and his family would like to convey our thanks.
