  1. Review titled Quality of Patient Care concerns

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Concerned Carer - Posted on 08 May 2024

As a Carer/Daughter to my 82 year old Mum, am shocked by the way the Surgery system do not cater for elderly/dementia staged patients and the inability to get an appointment due to restrictions on call times to make. I work full time and expected to work during the time appointments are booked and have tried relentlessly to make appointments for Mum following a 15 year old med being stopped, via telephone, with my Mum. She is illustrating a negative reaction- and calls made (after minimum 48 minutes wait) am told all appointments gone. The phone message states to use E-consult which helped dramatically- as would get a call back. However, on the site this service is not available. I call at 11.30, message states lunch from 12 and I am 1st in the queue. The call is never picked up..right to 12 Absolutely disrespectful and at a loss as am told to call back.. told appointment gone and then recall again. How is this patient care?

Dear Patient/Carer I am sorry you have had reason to complain due to a less than satisfactory experience with the practice. Unfortunately, I am unable to identify your mum and therefore, unable to look into this matter. If you would like to email me on manager.highstreetsurgery@nhs.net I can help you resolve this matter. I am not sure why the service wasn't available on e-consult and have emailed the service provider but they require a date and time to investigate if it wasn't working for any reason. Sometimes glitches do happen and I apologise if this was the case. I have just checked and it working now so you can request an appointment, if your mum hasn't already been given one. Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Unfortunately, as you have chosen to do so anonymously, I am unable to investigate your matter. If you would like me to look into it, please email me at manager.highstreetsurgery@nhs.net My staff work extremely hard to provide the best service we can to all our 8200 patients. At times, we fall short of patient expectations which is part of being human. The only time staff are permitted to have lunch at their desk is when the phones lines are switched off between 12 and 2 pm. It appears you have come in during the 2 hours lunch break. The phones are off at this time so they are able to have a well deserved break and have a laugh while eating. I am sorry you feel we provide a 'terrible' service; if you feel you can get a better service at another practice, you are welcome to register elsewhere. 5. Review titled Repeat Prescription issues

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by K Rowley - Posted on 02 December 2023

I moved to this practically in August and every month I have issues obtaining repeat prescriptions. The practice does not approve repeat prescriptions more than 5 days before the last time it was issued. That has meant that every month I have had one day without medication. It is so stressful I’m thinking of moving again.

  6. Review titled Poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

Prescriptions take over 5 days to be done. Phone calls take over an hour to be answered. You need to improve your service and experience for patients. Other practices seem to cope with the funding that has been given to them!!!

Over an hour for the phone to be answered, practice management needs a course in customer service as the person I spoke to was rude.

  8. Review titled Really Appreciate the Lovely Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Jules S - Posted on 05 September 2023

I'm off to Manila soon and contacted the Surgery by web form and got a very quick response, booked in for shots and saw the very friendly Nurse twice to get them done. I didn't realise quite how lucky I was until friends told me of their comparable experiences having to go to Pharmacies and such so all in I'm super happy with both the facilities / services available as well as the extremely lovely experience with the Nurse who made me feel comfortable, at ease and explained everything nice and simply. Thank you!

Dear Jules Thank you for your delightful review. I am so pleased you had a good experience. There are only certain holiday jabs we hold in stock so I guess you were lucky to have them done here. Other holiday jabs can only be got from pharmacies or specialist travel clinics. Our staff and nurse are happy that they were able to help and we all wish you a fabulous time in Manilla and safe travels. Kind regards Karnika Practice Manager High Street, Cheshunt

  9. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sonay - Posted on 21 September 2023

I’ve had such a good experience with the practice and the doctors are so helpful and the best! Whenever I’ve needed to speak to the GP and made an online request for this, I always get a quick response and even though the wait may be a few days it’s much quicker than all the other GP surgery’s I hear about. I’ve been registered here for about 3 years and cannot fault the staff at all. Thank you for giving us a great service!
