I rang in the morning to ask if it would be possible to have an appointment in the afternoon as I was expecting a call from Australia because a relative was going to have urgent surgery. The surgery made an appointment with a doctor for that afternoon. I am very grateful for their help and assistance. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Reliable and friendly service.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Twice this week a member of my family had cause to contact the Heacham Group Practice, firstly as a not so serious condition and later in the week for a more serious, unrelated problem. On both occasions she was seen and treated on the day of contact. Very impressed with both medical and reception staff.

  3. Review titled Immediate response

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was very impressed with the response an elderly and obviously distressed lady received who walked in this morning to Heacham reception at 9.00 with no appointment. As she had walked through the pouring rain and complained of serious leg pain. She was asked to take a seat and the NP would see her in about 20 minutes. In fact she was seen in less than 2 minutes.

  5. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Unfortunately we had to contact the surgery this morning as my husband was unwell over the weekend. We used the online form which was promptly acknowledged and very soon after we were called a and offered an appointment 45 minutes later. We were seen by the nurse practitioner who was thorougher and informative and listened to our concerns. A prescription was issued which I picked up later that morning. Excellent, courteous service. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Getting back to before covid

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I've had issues with practice during past 2.5 years. I felt I wasn't being listened to. However I rang asking for a telephone consultation, but was asked to go in. Very quickly it was decided I needed to go to a&e. As it would be quicker my husband took me. I can only thank practice nurse and Dr for their fast response.

  7. Review titled End of life referral to GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

The Doctoe appeared unaware of the reason for the appointment , despite the fact the surgery had requested that we attend, having received referals by the District Nurse, the Hospice and oncology. Patient's ame shouted out by the Dr who didn't look round to see I was making my way. Name repeated grumpily. No apology for keeping us waiting. When advised what we were expecting from the appointment ( respect form, review of medication; donating the body for clinical research) s/he began to flick through the desktop and the Consultant's letter I had provided. The whole consult was hurried. I was advised to make notes of any questions and not to interrupt or she would lose her place. Robotic response to our request the body be donated to clinical research. It was big for us but she said it happens all the time and that she had pinged her secretary to complete the form. Stated that she had kept the case under constant review which I did not believe. Looked at her watch pointedly. Finally said she was sorry this was happening to us, but appeared more concerned that the wheelchair did not scratch the skirting boards. S/he offered us direct access to him/ her for the future, simply by contacting the receptionist. Tried to do this the following day- got a different Dr

  8. Review titled Poor performance

Rated 1 star out of 5

Had blood test 6 weeks ago after a telephone consultaion, no contact from surgery after 4 weeks so rang to find out results, told by receptionist that results were ok but when i enquired about a specific test result was told she was not qualified to explain the result. I asked for an appointment to see my nominated doctor, who luckily was the duty doctor and was told they would ring back with an appointment. No call back until surgery was closed and by a different doctor who left an answer phone message, immediately returned call only to hold on for over 17 minutes with no answer. Where do you go from here absolutely disgraceful no wonder A&E are busy.

  9. Review titled Great Doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Malcolm Diggins - Posted on 14 June 2022

Unfortunately it says I cannot mention names but I had an appointment yesterday at noon. I was made to feel at ease from the very first moment I was called in by my Christian name. I felt throughout the appointment the doctor was kind and reassuring throughout the whole time. So I came away a very happy patient.

  10. Review titled A bit of balance

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Called practice at 08:27 Monday am. 90 second wait. Tel. appt made with GP. Call from GP 09:35. Appt. made for ECG & bloods with nurse at 09:45. Seen by nurse, ECG & bloods done. GP came in to examine after. Plan made for review after further tests off site. Back home at 10:10. Direct cost to me £0. If this can be bettered anywhere in the world I would like to know where and at what cost. Don’t knock it.
