We are sorry to hear about your recent experience. We operate a queue system to answer the telephone call. The number of calls coming in are beyond our control and we suggest if your call is likely to take longer to deal with then best time to call is at less busy times such as between 12 to 2 pm. If you would like to speak to the practice manager please call and leave a message with the staff. We are constantly training and monitoring the staff performance. So thank you for bringing to our attention and we'll look into this more closely. Hawthorns Medical Centre

  2. Review titled Rude Doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

I needed to wait more than one hour from the time I was given the appointment. When I was called for my medical visit the doctor was reluctant to listening to the problem I had, she went straight into giving me advice and prescribing me medications to take, she took no time examining or looking at the skin condition I had. When I tried to expressed my concerns and tried to get more information, she basically restated what she previously said, and when I showed some hesitation she asked me if I can understand what she is saying. The problem was not that I could not understand what she was saying, but I was simply trying to get more information about my health condition and get more involved about matter concerning my health, for example I needed to know why I should have gotten to the A&E for a skin problem if the medications she prescribed did not work when I thought it was really unnecessary, from what I could understand going to the dermatologist would have been a better option. When I was hesitant again she got angry and raised her voice, and restated that I needed to go the A&E if the skin condition did not go away after I took the medications. Overall I found the doctor very rude, not open to dialogue or to listening, and it is not the only time I have been treated like this.

  3. Review titled Poor practice

Staff are rude especially the dr she was late to my appointment I arrived on time and she walked into the practice 10 minutes after I was meant to be seen. Assuming she had just arrived for her shift I’m very disappointed about this. The receptionist was also very rude when I had asked her when I was going to be seen, never coming here again.
