I visited the practice on 27 January 2023 to have annual asthma review. The nurse spent good time to explain to me the guidlines and was patient enough to listen to other conerns were not related to the visit. She counsulted her manager and provided me with advice consider my personal circumistances. Shw made me feel i am human. She made me respect het practice. Thanks to her and to the manager who was able to listen to her and respected her judment.. Over all the practice staff are friendly and able to accomdate patients needs ifbthey are able to .

Review titled Can never get an Appointment to see a Doctor

It is getting harder and harder to get an appointment at Hawksley. Today I had to dial, 101times, before getting through and then it took them 6minutes before I spoke to anyone. If you try to book an appointment it is always about 3weeks to wait, that is why they have so many missed appointments compared to other surgeries. I have ongoing health problems and should have my medication checked regularly, but this has not been done by them for over 2years, and I can not remember the last time I was seen by my own Doctor. I was advised by the hospital to get something looked at by my, Doctor. it has took 10days and me to change my medication times just to be told a doctor will phone me sometime today. Fingers crossed. At my age you don't really want to be changing your doctor, so you have to put up with things. That's why you can't put your name to any review, in case they see it.

Thank you for your feedback and I would be grateful if you can contact me at the practice to explore this further and for us to have the opportunity to explain our appointment system, as well as changes we have made to support more access to our services as well as the introduction to new services and how we are monitoring the appropriateness of appointments and ensuring that patients whom are accessing our services are being consulted by the right clinician.
