    can never get through on telephone. Then when do after waiting hours, sometimes an hour to get into waiting queue of 50. Never can see same doctor.

    The knowledgeable receptionist had an exemplary friendly most helpful manner while dealing with my query. I was seated in the waiting area for some time and saw her listening patiently to a dozen or so patients of all ages and sorting out their different requests. It was my first visit to the Practice and felt valued and very welcomed. Thank you.

    Tried to get an appointment today for other reasons and some eye drops needed for forthcoming eye operation. Felt like I was being up in court on trial and cross questioned by receptionist who is not a doctor! Since merging with other practices has gone downhill significantly. Not many good reviews from other GP's around either. Had to call hospital instead to get eye drops as left surgery angry. Doctors are good when you can get to see one and forget about trying to call in the morning. Some of the receptionists are very nice. Just one or two aren't.

    My husband has called this morning at 8-20 and was 44 in the queue. After 35 minutes on the phone he has been given an appointment in 2 weeks time. We have been with this practice for over 30 years and since becoming SHPpartnership it has become more and more difficult to see a doctor, but there is very little chance of moving as there are hardly any practices locally who are not part of this group. This leaves us as elderly patients feeling extremely vulnerable.

    I attempted to make an appointment after feeling very unwell for sometime. I was informed that there were no available appointments for the next three weeks. I was advised to call the surgery at 8am everyday for an available appointment, failing that I can call 101. I explained that I am a full time nurse working in the NHS and I haven't got the time or the facility to be phoning daily in works time, especially as you can be waiting for lengthy periods of time on the phone. Subsequently I paid privately to have a blood test. I received the results which were very concerning and was advised to contact my GP. I waited 20 minutes on the phone to be told there wasn't any available appointments for the next three weeks, despite me explaining my blood results. Again I was told to call every day at 8am. I really don't want to go off sick from work as I'm very passionate about my job but I'm failing to see what option I have left. At the same time I remain unwell and just want someone to review my results as it suggests I have a new diagnosis which requires treatment.

  6. Review titled Rang every day at 8 but can't get an appt

    Everyday this week have rang on the dot of 8 for an appt. Message says to ring back as lines too busy. When do get through I am told I usually about 40 in q. Finally about 45 mins later when you get to speak to someone appts are all gone , ring back tomorrow. And so it goes on. Friday tomorrow so maybe I will get lucky. I feel ill and I feel like crying. What can I do?

    Got to my appointment 5 minutes late. Car park was full. The receptionist said the she will see if the Dr can still see me. 5 minutes later told me she got no response from the Dr and I had to re-book, which would be in a months time for the next availability.

  8. Review titled Not a good practise of late

    Being a mental health sufferer I am finding it increasingly difficult to get an appointment for a face to face or telephone appointment. I phoned at 08:00am this morning and was number 7 in the queue, by the time the lady spoke to me (approx 10 mins later) she had informed that all appointments were taken. I find this incredibly frustrating. My assessment means they had less than 7 appointments available! I even went down on another morning to be told you can't book appointments by turning up anymore and that you have to phone up at 8am. This practice has gone downhill so fast since it joined up with all the other practices in Solihull and I would question this move. The practice was working well before the move.

  9. Review titled Just Awful! Beyond poor!

    This surgery is a frankly so poorly run I have to question patient safety for those registered here. I am a long time patient, the pandemic is not an excuse, since merging (long before the pandemic) they became less accessible! Surely the point was to join other surgeries was to become more accessible??! Long waits on the telephone, wrong information given, poor staff attitudes and it’s a miracle if you get an appointment. They’ve lost their previous caring, patient focused service and become a business. I note their generic responses to complaints even on this forum, not a single care for patients needs. It’s a real shame as they were a decent surgery once, needless to say I will be joining another surgery and certainly not another of the practices they belong with. Absolutely inadequate patient service!
