I had a telephone appointment with my doctor to discuss my child’s eczema. After I sent images the doctor invited us in for a face to face appointment on the very same day. We were prescribed creams to try and given very helpful advice on how to manage the skin on a day to day basis. I was asked how I was getting on as a new mum too. The pharmacy issued one of the creams. The other they recommended trying another pharmacy as they didn’t have any in stock. They were apologetic and again helpful as always. I left the surgery feeling lucky to have such a brilliant surgery- one I have been with for 38 years. Thank you for everything you do for me and my family.

Today I rang the surgery as my husband has been with them for 30 plus years and was taken off not through me but due to the care he needed following a brain injury. I rang the surgery to re registering him as he is coming home to be told he can’t register as he is out of catchment area. All of my family are there and it makes sense to keep him there. The receptionist had no empathy whatsoever very smug and rude and didn’t want to help, just told me he wouldn’t be able to come back and that’s the end of that. How on earth do they find these people surely when you work in a surgery you have to have empathy and there are ways to talk to people. She was a young girl obviously no idea how to treat people who are at the end of their tether.

Dear Anonymous, thank you very much for taking the time to write your feedback on a re registration. Firstly we do hope your husband's health is improving. As we have no specific details I can reply by using generalised terms. Sometimes when patients have this sort of injury and they are discharged from hospital they are placed into a nursing home for further care which may be out of our catchment area. If the home registers the patient with a GP whose practice provides patient care care for the nursing home the patient will be de registered from his original practice and registered with a new practice. When this happens we are only advised a patient has left the area with no further information. Our catchment area is agreed with the Integrated Care Board as part of our contractual obligations and we are unable to register any patients who live outside of this. We can see how frustrating this can be for patients and their family, sadly this is out of our hands. With regard to the service you received from our reception staff there is no excuse and I can only apologise for this and ensure your feedback is discussed with the team during our monthly team meetings We do hope we have answered your queries as best as we can and can assure you we do take feedback very seriously. My daughter was given an appointment following completing an online request for a consultation. The process was easy and we were seen by our fabulous Dr within 48hrs, my daughter was reassured and felt at ease throughout appt. We were also greeted by the most friendly reception staff an absolute pleasure to be part of this wonderful practice. Thankyou X

Very courteous, efficient and business like. Sufficient advance reminders to attend. Felt at ease so blood pressure reading was in good zone! Blood extraction for testing was painless and bruise free.

During a freak boating accident abroad I fractured two vertebrae and ended up in hospital there for one week. Harcourt Medical practice and my doctors were totally supportive and went beyond the call of duty in contacting me there to reassure me and discuss the treatment I was being offered. After my discharge notes were sent to the surgery, the doctors kept in touch with me for referrals to Salisbury District Hospital. The professional treatment has been ongoing and further referrals for investigating my continuing pain is in progress. It is so reassuring to be receiving such attentive care for my medical needs. Thank you!

I have just had a joint appointment with a wonderful nurse and equally amazing GP...they jointly undertook a tricky procedure. Their care and concern for me, and team work to get a good outcome for me was exemplary. I can't thank them enough.

Unlike my last visit, everything went smoothly and I received everything expected. The nurse will also speak with my doctor to get a blood test form added to my records so that my pre diabetes level can be checked.

I arrived early for my vaccination, was greeted in a helpful and friendly fashion, and was seen within 10 minutes of arriving, by the very helpful nurse.

I feel I receive patient centred diabetes care at Harcourt. I am encouraged to make healthy choices and don't feel judged. I had a little wait over the time of appointment but that meant someone else getting the extra care needed. During the appt, the Nurse was very thorough.
