    I’ve always found Harborne Medical Practice to have hard working and helpful staff. Very happy with my treatment here. Reception staff do their best to help you and get things sorted. They have a hard job and and always impressed with the service.

    The receptionist I spoke to was outstanding and really helpful and understanding. Showed compassion and got me straight in for an appointment with a GP immediately. The GP who I saw was also brilliant, took time to talk to me and explain things and has gone the extra mile to chase things up for me. Really good service from both.

    The waiting times are ridiculously horrendous here! I called at 8 am, waited an hour in the line only to be told to call back at 2pm. The same happened at 2pm too and when I mentioned I was concerned about my health, she only said all I could do was keep calling everyday at 8am and 2pm till someone answers! This is absolutely ridiculous and a total waste of people's time!! I am appalled at the complete lack of concern for a patient's health by the practice!

    Dear Patient I am sorry you are experiencing the difficulties you describe as this is not the experience we wish for our patients or carers. We wish to assure our patients that we have the upmost concern for their health and are again sorry if this seems otherwise. We are in the process of upgrading our phone systems and are confident patients will see a significant improvement in getting through to the practice. The new system will allow for the practice to call patients back to save them waiting on the line and we will provide updates to the installation time-frame on our website. We also update our website AM and PM to advise when GP appointments are taken and ask patients to look on the website before calling, although appointments with other health professionals may still be available. Patients can also make appointments on the practice App and are able to contact NHS111 if they feel they need an appointment sooner than they are able to obtain this from the practice.     I couldn't get thru, so 111 told me to go to Accident and Emergency. Stress caused me to suffer aggressive psoriasis attack along with a severe outbreak of Dyshidrotic Eczema. The pain was unbearable, skin dropping off my hands. That visit was before new year. Still not heard anything and I still can't get thru. This practise used to be the best in Brum and I was pround to tell friends how good: same day phone and appointment. Now I would say: can't even get through on the phone. Shame.

    I work full time and unfortunately went in on a Saturday to see if I could book an appointment for the following week and was told no, I had to call. I explained I had tried and was becoming tablet dependent since being in two taxi car accidents and was in pain. Receptionist said sorry but you have to call. This is terrible. The nearest on line appointment was April. I have been with this surgeon 33 years and its got shocking poor. You can never get through and being at work I can't sit in a queue for hours as I'm running a service. This is no way to treat customers in need.
