    Contacted the surgery using the online service, requesting advice. Within minutes a doctor phoned me back, arranging a face to face appointment for that morning. I saw a lovely nurse practitioner who diagnosed a chest infection and prescribed antibiotics. She was caring, knowledgeable and very thorough. I was very impressed.

    On many visits to the hall green health. I have always been approached by your kind security guard who is a vital asset to your health centre. I want to express my extremely satisfaction with the quality of his efforts, contribution and enthusiasm during greeting the patients and dealing with their enquiries. I would to like to commodate and praise for the hard work and the excellent service his giving.

    Since the new phone system has started, I haven’t been able to book an appointment with my doctor or get an emergency appointment for my daughter. Its saddening that I have to phone 111, book walk in centres or badger clinics to see a doctor for an emergency appointment where as a patient at Hall Green Health, I have every right to book with my doctor’s surgery but thats been taken away. Sometimes, as a patient we just need to see our doctor rather than phoning countless people through the 111 service and waiting hours for their reply. Aswell as this, when I have phoned at 8.30am to book an appointment, there are never any appointments available and have been booked already! The phone cuts off and we can’t even get through to speak to anyone. This has resulted in me travelling by bus many miles away for an appointment at a walk in centre, whereas the surgery is nearest to me and would be beneficial to visit there. When I complete an online appointment, I’m either referred to book a routine appointment (which I have to wait 2 weeks for) or I’m passed onto some department, again not seen by a doctor. By that time, my condition has deteriorated. In some way, I preferred the waiting on the phone line as I knew someone would answer my phone call and my enquiry would be heard. I praise the receptionist who do a tremendously great job in writing down our symptoms and speaking to the doctor on our behalf. I hope this new phone system can be reviewed in the near future. Maybe one person’s view may not be regarded as valuable, however as being part of the surgery for so long, I felt the need to send this review.

    Today I visited HGH for three separate appointments with 10 mins in between. The Receptionists were great, booking me in appropriately. All appointments went smoothly and each messaged the next my progress. The Clinician who advised and then administered injection for frozen shoulder has a lovely manner and explained everything well. The HCA was spot on with my “difficult veins” she was marvellous and very friendly. My INR appointment was great I felt well attended to. HGH did their best today and I couldn’t fault them and best of all everyone so cheerful and interested- for a big Surgery they manage to make it personal across all their staff. They have always been good - today they were better

    Reception staff are absolutely diabolical. Don’t matter if the appointment is for a child or adult they speak to you like absolute dirt. The communication between the receptionist and patients are ridiculous. The only good part of this doctors is the people who do the bloods.

    A huge thank you to HGH for the very well organised Covid booster clinics. Thank you so much to the lovely doctor who gave my husband and I our vaccinations. She was very patient kind and was very thorough in checking details and clearly explained the possible side effects. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard to give patients such a good experience.

    On hold for an appointment for 1 hour 40 minutes to be cut off when you get to caller number 12. Called another option in the hope somebody would get the Practice Manager to call me back. A further 15 minutes whilst the lady went to see if this could be arranged to come back with I would receive a call. 2 days later still no call back. Therefore, no appointment to date neither is the Practice Manager is not concerned enough either to call me back is appalling. I totally understand the pressures on the NHS however, the shear frustration of waiting that long when you never go the doctors because of the above then to totally being ignored I find highly unprofessional. I cannot imagine that I am the only patient who has experienced these issues at this Practice either. No staff member seems to be interested or feel that the wait time to just get through is extortionate.

    Visited with my mother to receive our flu and covid jabs. A clean and calm environment.Professional and informed staff. Caring staff who are always looking for ways to help and support you.     When you call it's a 2 hour hold, then you get to number one and they cut you off. Very rude receptionist when you finally get through. Then you get told that you do need an appointment but we can't give you one, try again in 2-3 weeks.

    I have seen 2 GPs for different ailments one at very short notice and have to say the whole experience of using HGH was excellent the online enquiry form is great and I used the call back feature which is really good! The receptionist quickly realised I needed an appointment and she sought advice from a Doctor in a sympathetic manner very reassuring she was calm. The GPs are brilliant they listened well they explained things while you would expect them to be “good” they were both kind, approachable with an appropriate friendly manner. Considering they are busy they had an air of calm and attention I was not made to feel bad for being there. Their poster says something like “putting patients first” - they really do deliver and I hope they know they are appreciated!
