I will be looking for a new doctors as I've had nothing but bad treatment from this place they really need to sort this place out my daughter is a minor and still they are 30 minutes late calling us for our appointment this is just wrong and they need to sort it out

This surgery is great unless you actually want to see a Doctor, it is nigh on impossible to get an appointment.

I have been with this practise for 15+years, the service over the last few months has been terrible. Receptionists not answering phones, no future appointments being available and being told to call on the day (8am). To call, be caller number 7, 11 minutes later all appointments have been taken and to call back at 3pm or the next day for it all happen again. I am awaiting blood test results, which are only available between 12-2. Called 4 days in a row between this time to be on hold 30+ minutes and caller number 1/2/3 etc. Would not recommend this practise and the service has severely deteriorated if you call it a service!!! I have been asked to get someone to call & wait on my behalf for an appointment as I’m working in between them times like no one else works ? Receptionist all saying different things? just unbelievable service I use to rate this surgery but it seems they actually don’t care anymore

Recently retired NHS Scotland GP so full understanding of my medical conditions. Needed referral to Gynaecology which the female advanced nurse practitioner did and as a result seen promptly by consultant on a Saturday. So thankful this was done promptly Also have a benign joint disorder that gives pain but unable to take ibuprofen + related medicines due to indigestion side effects. As a former NHS doctor I Know these medicines cause kidney problems in over 60s so choose not to take. NHS England website states I am entitled to free prescriptions and like everyone else I am watching every penny as a pensioner

I had a blood test. Then I was asked to do another one. No explanation. It took a few day to get an appointment. I did the blood test. Then I got a text message, asking me to call. I did, I was told I would have to make another appointment, to see about my blood test. Nearest appointment was 3 weeks away. Went to daytime 30th January 2023. The doctor I was down to see, said I don't know why they have put you to see me. The doctor you have seen before, needs to see you. I said I have only seen that doctor once. It really gives you confidence. Why did the reception give me that appointment. Really bad. I have got so many things wrong. 10 years ago I was brought back to life, I wonder why some times

Dear James A Taylor, Thank you for your comment, but checking our registered patients list we DO NOT HAVE ANY PATIENT REGISTERED WITH US WITH THE ABOVE CREDENTIALS. You are not registered with THIS SURGERY. please do check with the grovelands medical surgery in Reading not London.

I am totally appalled to have to say that I rang this afternoon to book an emergency appointment to see a doctor to be told only 10 appointments are available in total in the surgery!! When I asked to speak to someone about this, the receptionist slammed the phone down on me. This is extremely bad service. The receptionists should either train better or find another job not in the public sphere. Very ill people call for help daily only to be treated so disgracefully. It is a reflection of the entire management of the surgery. I would recommend that this be looked at urgently or does anyone actually care at Grovelands?? This surgery is lacking in basic courtesy to it's patients. Lack of follow up and seems completely unmanaged.

Adequate information given when asking the right question. Never applied to me to review a certain GP, however, reading some comments and reviews encouraged me to say that a busy clinic like this with wide variety of backgrounds providing an excellent service to the community. Well done.

I have been a patient for about 12 years, and as I am 73 I have had to go to the surgery frequently. I have no complaints about the doctors, but having to wait on the phone for 10 or 20 minutes listening to terrible canned music over and over is bad enough, but the people now answering the phones are getting worse and worse. Sometimes they don't listen to what you're saying and will tell you, for instance, that it's impossible for the practice to do what you ask even after you tell them that they did so less than a week ago. All of this really magnifies the stress of a patient with serious problems. I suppose this is because of all the pressure on the NHS, and cannot say whether it is like this at other surgeries. As for recommendations, this is still an excellent practice once you are in the office, but some of the staff answering the phones make it as difficult as they can if you have anything unusual or urgent.

The GPs Ive seen have made me feel listened to. The receptionist try their best on the phones and the one at the desk was so excited when she was able to book the required appointments on the correct days they were needed for. Which shows me that they do care but often their hands are tied with the limited resources they have to start with. The practice manager is attentive when a problem arises.
