  1. Review titled Great family practice with a modern outlook

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 March 2024

Having just moved from another surgery, my family are so happy with the friendly approach at Grayshott and we're delighted to see the modern way you let patients get help. Thank you for being so understanding when we came in to get help, just a world of difference. Breath of fresh air, lovely staff and now we feel safe.

  2. Review titled Staff

I called grayshott surgery not so long ago to discuss a prescription that had gone missing. I was very polite and understanding that they were busy l, however they interpreted me serval times whilst I was speaking and told me it was not there problem I hadn’t been told about my prescription being in stock. I felt very uncomfortable and I strongly believe people like that shouldn’t work with patients

  3. Review titled Unhelpful reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Daniel Rogers - Posted on 05 July 2023

I rang to enquire how I can obtain my existing prescription from a London chemist, the lady at reception was unbelievably unhelpful. Instead of helping me to do so she instructed me she was cancelling my registration in Grayshott. She told me to go online to arrange my local pharmacy to obtain my medicine, however that is not at all obvious how to do and does not seem to work.

  4. Review titled Avoid nursing services

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Jamz - Posted on 19 July 2023

Don't ever be more than 1 minute late for an appointment or else they cancel entirely. Then they let you know you've got to wait almost another month for that service. I have never experienced such poor service before. Avoid if you are new to the area.

  5. Review titled doctors and nurses let down by reception / admin

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2022

From the moment you’ve argued with the telephone system to get through to a receptionist who then has no idea on the urgency of a situation and treats you in a patronising manner because you don’t understand the complications of diary management in the NHS, this surgery used to be good but now it’s impossible to get appointments especially if you need it when you’re actually ill and not in 3 weeks time. I’m told by my doctors/ nurses to state with the receptionist that I’m asthmatic which is life threatening and need an appointment for antibiotics to help them triage me. That is useless and I’m told I didn’t have my last asthma review with a nurse (had covid at the time) so couldn’t see a doctor. I’ve had asthma since birth, know how to manage it and my inhalers so don’t need a receptionist to tell me how to manage my condition. They do nothing to show empathy nor willing to accommodate people. Sadly you can’t book things yourself as when you get to a doctor or nurse they’re great. You just have to live long enough and plan your illness in advance to get past reception.

  6. Review titled Reception

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Coming to reception a couple of times recently I was wondering where all the regular staff have gone? They were all so helpful and knew my situation exactly. The prescription lady in particular. It’s a shame Treatment Room has also gone as those ladies were exceptional and now reception isn’t what it used to be. Such a shame I can’t name them to say thank you for your time and patience.

  7. Review titled Incredibly helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sue Baker - Posted on 01 July 2022

I have always found the receptionists and admin staff to be very helpful. This morning I spoke to a receptionist who was just lovely. Unfortunately I am not permitted to name her. I was confused about a prescription and she was patient, helpful, funny and gave me clear instructions for sorting this out. She made my day!

  8. Review titled Good Drs, let down by admin staff.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 August 2022

The doctors are very committed, and seem to be hard working in difficult circumstances. Unfortunately they seem to be let down by admin staff, who feel it’s their duty to be rude to the public. Over the past few years, I’ve had approximately 20 interfaces with the reception/admin team. Most of the time I’ve been spoken to with condescension and contempt. Sometimes worse. For example when I tried to register and presented all the forms, I literally had them thrown back at me, while she shouted ant be for not providing passports (not mentioned on any of the forms to provide ID, or an NHS requirement). However I do think they are working on this, as more recently I recall about 2-3 times in the last year that the admin staff were professional clearly wanted to be helpful. And the other times they were just mildly grumpy…

  9. Review titled Fantastic Nursing Team!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by M Edwards - Posted on 12 May 2022

For the last few years I have had appointments with the nurses at least every 3 months. Appointments which, thankfully, carried on through Covid. At all times the level of care and attention to detail has been outstanding. Both of the nurses I have seen have been incredibly thorough in reviewing my notes before my appointments, picking up on things way beyond the basics of why I was there. They have taken time to explain, listen to me, check through things again, suggest appropriate next steps, and follow up themselves too. I've not once felt rushed on the contrary their thoroughness is brilliant and the care they take of their patients is fantastically reassuring. Many thanks once again!

  10. Review titled When you make a mistake, make effort to put things right!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Neil FS - Posted on 14 April 2022

Turned up for an appointment arranged for 8.40am two weeks earlier. Their automated screen told me I was "too early". Confused by this returned to my car to investigate what I assumed to be my error. Luckily calls at my end are recorded to find I hadn't made an error. Additionally told that the appointment which I was "too early" for was with the wrong doctor also. Returned, provided the evidence as a playback of the call to be told it wasn't necessary, accepted their error (fair enough) then offered an emergency appointment at 12 noon. When you take time off work, travel to a surgery and you make a mistake I would have expected some effort to squeeze the diary and honour the appointment, ie fit something in. But zero effort. Especially when the effort of getting to the surgery is greater than just driving there. For me as a carer, it takes a lot of time, energy to prepare the person you are caring for to make the journey and support their apprehension leading up to the visit, not just time off work. Complete lack of respect for people's time, circumstances, extremely unprofessional.

Apologies that you felt that that staff were unhelpful today but I believe you have received a call from a GP Partner at the Surgery and the issues have now been discussed and resolved.
