Saw the newest GP at the practice today and was very pleased with the way he listened and conducted my appointment. Prior to this I have seen the female GPs at this practice and have always felt that they have been very helpful and supportive too. It can be difficult to get through on the phone to book appointments but I gather,from speaking to friends, that this is the same at all surgeries nowadays. I have been with this practice for over 40 years now and, overall, have always been happy.

I was seen last week by an asthma nurse, With an asthma flair up after a cold.GIven the ususal prednisolone tabs .8 to be taken per day for 7 days.after one day I had to reduce to 6 because of severe acid reflux.Then after 4 days of the reduced no of tabs and my asthma not improving I tel The surgery in the morning to ask if for the remaining two days should I go back to 8 tabs a day.the receptionist said she would ask the nurse to ring me. 6 hours passed and no call.When I rang again I was told she had no capacity in her clinic to spare the time to ring.! Was told to ring 111 .I am very disappointed as I only wanted a 2 min call for that advice. Surely she could have spared 2 mins to advise, or was she ever given the message in the first place. the receptionist couldn't Be bothered to ring personally he just messaged.I am always polite to these receptionists, but unfortunately some of them do not return the respect.

Recently visited for my cervical smear test. The nurse was so friendly and made me feel so at ease for a sensitive appointment. I have only been registered at Gravel Hill for over a month due to a house change and I have been so impressed by all services. Super polite reception staff, caring and proactive doctors and nurses. I’m really so impressed with this service
