Review titled Worst administration process in the country
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Zoe - Posted on 14 June 2023
I arranged for a private appointment with a Prescribing pharmacist that advised me I would need to arrange an appointment with a GP. I saw a private GP who advised that they cannot prescribe the medication I need and that I need to speak to an nhs practitioner. I contacted my nhs GP, which required me to complete a ridiculously long questionnaire for symptoms I do not have just to ask for an appointment to provide a new prescription for expired medication that my private GP cannot prescribe - this was not an option to select in the form. I made multiple attempts to contact the surgery to make an appointment. I received an email that said they needed to book an appointment with me to make an appointment with a practitioner - this defies logic. In their response, the surgery said this 'appointment' would take place within the next 48 hours with no specific time given so I could prepare to take the call. The surgery subsequently called me via private number - for my own safety, I do not answer private numbers - to arrange for this appointment 'to make an appointment'. I followed up via email with the surgery to say my 'appointment' was still outstanding. The surgery then asked for proof of needing the medication via email. I uploaded hospital discharge forms and old prescriptions. I asked for receipt of files and confirmation that my personal data would be stored correctly. I did not get a response. I was then referred to a pharmacy. I was connected to the wrong team in the pharmacy and was forwarded to a different department. I was on hold for so long that the call dropped out. I called again and was then told that if I have received a referral from my GP to contact them for a minor illness or prescription that they cannot serve me, and to contact my GP for an appointment. For context: the medication I need prevents blood clots, which I am required to take for long haul flights as a precautionary measure. To put it mildly: this has been a ridiculously frustrating, inefficient and time wasting experience - and I haven't even been able to speak to an NHS doctor. This review won't let me post in all caps - hope you can sense how incensed I am :)

Anyway we had appointment at 11:10 but the pacien with the appointment before us was still waiting, so that mean even if we been on time , we was still there waiting. A month before we been on time and waiting for 1 and half hour. Never come back to this GP anymore

Review titled Worst Practise
Rated 1 star out of 5

Its absolutely next to impossible to talk to someone in this GP. we have failed to get even a single appointment and have had to book an appointment from Private/Online clinic. Even now, my wife is suffering from a lower abdominal pain which was referred to this GP by an online GP as "to be seen by someone immediately". It has been 1 week and we are still waiting for this GP to have some mercy to call us. Any attempts by us to reach them are transferred to an ivrs which is so useless that it does more harm mentally to the patients than serving any real use. If you are lucky, you get a message that you are re-referred to the "Optipharm Pharmacy & Opticians" and which is the most useless. The chain ends there as we wait endlessly for someone to call us and no one reaches us back. we are yet again left without any option to look for a private care which seems to put at-least 500£ hole in our accounts. I cannot explain in words the kind of mental frustration that we are going through in not being able to talk to someone even when we think we need some care and in such distress. Very unfortunate we chose this GP owing to what seems like a bulk of fake reviews managed on Google.
