  1. Review titled So polite and understanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The receptionist, nurses, and doctor are so kind and considerate. They have dealt with my long-term illness with compassion and efficiency explaining everything carefully and in a reassuring way. It's clearly a vocation they are all committed to.

  2. Review titled Still having to chase everything

Rated 2 stars out of 5

This is the second time I have had to chase results. Sent to the GP at the start of May. By mid May still heard nothing. So I called them and they still had not be checked. Told to call back two days later. I just have. Will need to see the GP about the results. Asked the receptionest if they would ever have called me to book an appointment or just wait till I chase them up. Supposedly they would have called me. I dont not belive that. I have had to call them everytime to chase things. Always giving them an extra weeks grace aswell. In comparison to Colchester Hospital, which was great when I went there, the surgery is just naff.

  3. Review titled Fantastic practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Fronks Road surgery is one that goes above and beyond to help. Every engagement I have had has been a positive, helpful and friendly experience. The reception colleagues are kind, professional and will do all they can to help. The Asthma clinic service and the Menopause specialist services are outstanding, with colleagues going above and beyond, reassuring, helping and doing whatever they can to support. Wonderful practice and a fantastic team!

  4. Review titled Having to do some of the leg work.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

They received a referral, I know as I happened to called the day it was delivered. After three months of nothing, not even a phone call, I had to ring them. Unfortunately due to telecoms issues was disconnected but they did not forget and I got a call with a GP later. Was requested to book a blood test. Fine. After two weeks of no response. I had to call them again to chase it. Was told be the receptionist most of it is fine but got booked for a call two days later about the not fine parts. Had that call today. Luckily nothing to horrible and what was expected. They did not know any details as to why they had been booked and just requested that I book in for another test in a fortnight. I can understand communication issues between different hospitals but its a small building and even with the building works going its not completely impossible to talk. So looks like I still have to do half of the leg work and try to get a phone call with a GP next week. Hopefully I can actually get the referral sorted this time. On the positive side the nurse who took my bloods was top quality, thanks.

  5. Review titled Minimum Service Delivery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by David Beattie - Posted on 10 January 2023

As a 73 year old type 2 diabetic it is important that I have regular blood, and other reviews to monitor my condition. However I have given up trying to see a doctor or even the diabetic nurse in order to assess my condition and implement any prescribed changes. I had a blood test about a month ago and I was told the nurse would call me at a specific time today to discuss the results. It came as no surprise when this did not happen. So yet another disappointment in this failing surgery’s history. Doctors and nurses who don’t want to see patients with life changing conditions, or even to discuss test results or care planning with them.
