  1. Review titled Disappointing service after promises made

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Hayley Bunting - Posted on 15 June 2025

I am taking a pill called dienogest to treat severe endometriosis. My repeat prescription is for.3 months supply. I requested a repeat prescription over a month ago and was only prescribed one month’s supply without any reason. I rang the surgery who advised I would need a review with the nurse. I had my appointment with the nurse on Wednesday 11 June. My review went well and she apologised that the surgery’s pharmacy did not explain why I had only received one month’s supply. She acknowledged the importance of me not having a break on the dienogest because I could be in severe pain. She said she would request the pharmacy order a 3 month prescription and the pills would be ready for me to pick up the next day. I visited my pharmacy on Saturday who advised they have not received any instructions from the surgery’s pharmacist. I’m going to run out of my pill I’m the next few days. I have lost all trust in your service. Please call me first thing on Monday.

Dear Hayley, I would like to start by apologising as it was entirely our fault that your usual 3-month supply was not reinstated following your review with our Practice Nurse. We also should not have reduced the quantity of your prescription without first advising you of this and explaining the reason why. I am aware that my Operations Manager has already spoken to you (Monday 16th June) and has apologised and he will call you again to update you on what actions we have subsequently taken. In summary, we have discussed this with our Clinical Pharmacist, who going forward will ensure that he contacts patients to discuss any reviews due prior to altering medication quantities. We have also spoken with our Practice Nurse to ask why she did not re-instate the usual quantity and all I can say is that this was an oversight on her part. Again, we can only apologise. In terms of your prescription, we have updated the records to now reflect the usual 3-month quantity, and I understand that this has already been issued and you now have the correct supply. I hope that this explains what went wrong on our part and what actions we have taken to avoid this from happening again. Once again please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards Karen Northwood Managing Partner

Dear Hayley, I am sorry that you are now having difficulty in obtaining your medication due to stock issues at the pharmacy that you went to. I do, however need to explain that we have absolutely no control over this. There are many pharmacies in Croydon and they all work independently. I did ask my Operations Manager to give you a call to explain this however, I understand that his call went to voicemail. He has therefore left you a message. In the meantime, we have asked our own Clinical Pharmacist to contact your nominated pharmacy to find out if this is a temporary stock issue on their part or if this is a wider issue for other pharmacies. As we understand it, this particular pharmacy had run out of this medication and had therefore placed this on order. We have been advised that they expect to receive delivery later today. Our Clinical Pharmacist has agreed to call your nominated pharmacy again this afternoon to check if the delivery has arrived. Assuming that it has, we would expect that you should be able to collect your medication later today. Our Clinical Pharmacist will also give to a call to give you an update and to talk through alternative options, should the delivery not arrive. Hopefully, this will not be the case but as I have explained we have no control over this. We will however, do all that we can to help to resolve this for you. Going forward, if you have queries relating to medication or similar, please can I suggest that you raise this through our Practice Website: www.frmp.org.uk or telephone the Practice. I hope this is helpful but if you have any concerns then please do not hesitate to contact my Operations Manager, Kunal Trivedi, our Clinical Pharmacist, Prayank Joshi or myself. Kind regards Karen Northwood Managing Partner

  3. Review titled Very happy with this practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 December 2024

I recently had an excellent experience at this medical practice. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the friendly and supportive atmosphere. The receptionist was welcoming, and the nurse/phlebotomist made me feel at ease during my tests. I was linked to a female doctor, just as I requested, who quickly addressed my concerns and provided the treatment I needed. The entire team was efficient, and I was impressed by how quickly I received my test results and the necessary treatment for my UTI. I felt well cared for throughout the entire process. Highly recommended for anyone seeking responsive and compassionate care!

  4. Review titled Very Helpful & Efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I phoned as I am working away from home and needed antibiotics prescribing and sent to the city I’m working in. The receptionist explained the procedure politely and said yes everything I was requesting was possible. 15 minutes later a GP phoned, diagnosed what was wrong and prescribed antibiotics. Everything worked perfectly and both the receptionist and GP couldn’t have been more efficient. A really positive experience.

  5. Review titled Incompetent Surgery

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Hayley Bunting - Posted on 24 June 2023

Had a blood test for a suspected dvt. Doctor phoned me in the evening and left a vm asking me to call him to discuss test results. No number left for me to call back on. Rang 111 who told me that the test was never carried out, mistake was made on the form. Went back to surgery for another blood test. Was called by GP the following day to say the nurse hadn't taken enough blood. Had to go back again to have blood taken. Doctor phoned me on Friday night to say I had test positive for a suspected dvt and was prescribing heparin injection and was unable to book me in for a scan until Monday. Today, Saturday, tried 8 pharmacies, none of them stock heparin injections. I have just been left like this and dvt is a very serious condiiton to have - life threatening.
