    I wanted to send in a review of the positive experience today from the surgery and pharmacy next to the surgery. I telephoned early this morning with an health concern - the receptionist arranged for a doctor to telephone and within 20 minutes I had spoken to a doctor. He sent a prescription to the pharmacy & this was collected within two hours of my initial telephone call - excellent service from both. Thank you!

    Wait time of over 3 weeks for a "call" back appointment, which will probably then need a face to face. Absolute waste of time for something that could be looked at and diagnosed in about 5 minutes

    They have now successfully made it impossible to speak to anyone. Firstly you have to listen to an outdated 90 sec message warning of covid and staff abuse. It has taken them nearly 3 days to process a repeat prescription this surgery is the most unwelcomeing place I have been to there is no one manning the reception no one to push things along and they all work at there own pace doing there very best to divert you away from seeing one of the many Doctors working there the waiting room has the atmosphere of an institution with a capital I. On my recent visits the place is deserted including the reception and it makes you wonder at what capacity there working at. Now after trying to get through today they have introduced an automated system to further distance themselves from there patients. Something needs to be done here, you would not put up with this service anywhere else.

    Just been told I have to wait a month just for a telephone appointment. What a joke. I have ongoing problems that need sorting so I can go back to work. I am never notified of test results and feel totally excluded uncared for.

    1. Recorded message hasn't changed since the pandemic and is very long and unnecessary in my opinion 2. Asking patients to send photos of conditions is not a positive experience or useful, in my opinion. 3. Why can I not have a face to face appointment anymore? Other practices offer this. 4. I missed my phone appointment today as was called at 8.10am! Was then sent a text to say I would need to call the surgery again if I needed an appointment. 5. The reception staff are friendly and try to help, but I am left feeling disillusioned and frustrated by the difficulties in getting to see a doctor. I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years but since the pandemic, feel that photos and phone calls are standard.

    I came today and was really nervous about my appointment. The nurse could not have been more reassuring. Having been many time previously for this ive never really understood it, however she sat down and talked me though it all and explained in details. After that the appointment felt easy. She was so lovely and reassuring, can’t thank her enough.

    I had an infected toe whilst on holiday in the Isle of Wight. I contacted the surgery and a doctor rang me back after 10 minutes. He arranged for a prescription to be sent electronically to the chemist in Bembridge, Isle of Wight. An hour later the prescription was ready for me to collect. How amazing was that! Well done Fountain Medical Centre.
