  1. Review titled impossible to send an email

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by William Dodd - Posted on 09 January 2024

Nothing to do with the GP's. I have had several occasions in the last year where I need to respond to a text or an issue I have. There is no direct email address. The telephone number talks about navigators... really ??? but no way of discussing issues . The online lloyds cannot provide the prescription from the doctor. I cannot access the surgery to talk about this. I have tried Kamsons, who said they would look into this. no reply. Such a complete mess from Fitzalan Medical centre. Hands length does not work with people contact.

Had to wait over 1 hour on telephone to make blood test appointment. Receptionist sounded fed up sighing and not listening to why and offered 3 week appointment. Medication needs to be altered on result of test . But never mind only my Health

  3. Review titled Chiropractor at fiztalan is very efficient and polite

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Leif evers - Posted on 23 November 2023

The service from start to finish was polite and as pleasant as could be. I was informed of opinions all the time I was there. And got the answer I needed about my back. And I would recommend them to anyone would wanted to find out about their back or spine. Was a speedy assessment and diagnosis.... Leif evers Littlehampton

  4. Review titled worst in England?

Rated 1 star out of 5

many of us elderly today for the 'flu' jab, we were told 'not here and got to other health centre'. There we were told 'go back to Fitzalan they have messed up'. some of us went back and were told ' nothing we can do here. Nobody there to help nor willing to sort things out. Poor person at the front with no help at all from any behind the scenes chiefs. This practice is not, nor ever will be fit for purpose.

  5. Review titled Privileged and Grateful

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Please consider installing bicycle parking hoops outside your reception. May I suggest 3 or 4 string steel hoops about 60cm diameter with plate bases embedded deep under the brick patio. The hoops would best be situated parallel to the wall, in the shelter of the eaves on both sides of the door to the reception. This would supply maximum convenience and security at least cost. It is a social and environmental responsibility of every business to encourage and support cycling rather than car driving. There is an additional responsibility for health and wellbeing for a health business or institution to encourage and support cycling rather than driving. Your existing slotted concrete blocks serve no useful function and are in practice an incentive to cycle theft and bent wheels - they also harbour rubbish and weeds. Please give very serious consideration to this constructive and positive addition to your health practice.

I have just been on the telephone for over 40 minutes trying to book an annual health check that the NHS encourage if you go on to their website but apparently Fitzalan Medical Centre know nothing about this. I am 61, never go to the doctors but just wanted to take up the offer which is clearly outlined on the NHS website. I am so angry and stressed, not a good start to the day.

I am sorry to read your review from January this year. I also rather confused as to why you would not be given an NHS Healthcheck as this is a service we offer. I do add that the appointments are offered on a limited basis based on demand and availability. If you would still wish to have a check or speak to someone our reception manager would be pleased to help. Beverley Wallis - Managing Partner.

  10. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by JOHN DAVIES - Posted on 27 January 2023

I recently had an operation for Carpal Tunnel syndrome. The hospital had given little advice on post-operative care and that which I did obtain was only after telephoning. I was worried that stitches, which were supposed to have dissolved after 10-11 days, could still be seen, which meant that I could not shower nor wash my hair as the wound had to be kept dry. My wife already had an appointment booked for 2.00pm so I rang the surgery to ask if I could be fitted in at the same time to see a doctor or nurse; the receptionist could not have been more helpful and arranged the appointment with my wife's diabetes nurse. Said nurse was most pleasant and dealt with the remaining stitches and gave advice as to further care. All in all a very satisfactory outcome for both my wife and me. This excellent standard of care is what we have always experienced with Fitzalan Health Centre.
