  1. Review titled Uncaring

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Patricia Teakle - Posted on 26 March 2024

I was told by Doctor to get a BP check with a pharmacist as my BP was high and I needed to discuss starting tablets. When I got there, my appointment was changed to a nurse without telling me. This nurse could not prescribe and so told me to do my own BPs and hand in sheet. I did this and handed my weeks readings to the receptionist. My readings were very high but 2 weeks on I’ve still not been contacted by the surgery. I also spoke to the receptionist when a week had passed and was told they’ve not looked at them yet and will contact me. I’ve already had what felt like a stroke a few month’s previous and very concerned I am being swept under the carpet - is this because I’m 85. I feel really let down and disappointed by what can only be described as incompetence - my appointment should never have been changed by the practice in the first place. It’s now heading on for 3 weeks that I should have started tablets. There’s a big push about patients not getting BOs done but what’s the point if the GP doesn’t bother to follow them up!

  2. Review titled Aufull appointment booking system

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 February 2024

New phone system does not give option to speak to a person if you just have a query. Went to the reception desk in person and sign up saying no staff available so to ring them, but you can’t speak to a person as described above. The time you can book an appointment is 8am in the morning only. People working at this time! Instead, to get more easy-it is getting worse. If you have good luck to book-then service with other team is good.

  3. Review titled Great practice shame about Appointment system

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Lynne Roberts - Posted on 15 November 2023

Been trying for the past week to make a request using Patch's only to find it "unavailable". Turns out unavailable means "switched off", or at least that is what I was told by a care coordinator when I finally got through on the phone. What is the point of an automated system that is constantly unavailable? Something is seriously wrong if the system becomes unavailable at 0830 having opened at 0800.

  4. Review titled No drinking water available

    by bransy56 - Posted on 28 September 2023

It does not make any sense to me that there is not a drop of drinking water available for the patients in the waiting room. When the first NHS advise for people with kidney problems, dehydrated by the heat and many other health related issues is simply to drink some water. Waiting too long without water was extremely difficult. I tried to ask a number of people how to find some water to drink, including a doctor who was going out to call a patient, but got no assistance. I got breathless and then was advised by patients to ask at the reception desk for water. With the queue going on for ever and me being disabled and can't stand up for too long until it's my turn, if I sit down I lose my turn. I felt like losing consciousness. After all that waiting, I found out that the text message I received from the practice for an appointment was sent by mistake and I had to go back home. I had to visit the bathroom, which was in a horrible state, the soap dispenser was broken and faulty, no toilet tissues were available and the floors were really dirty, even in the waiting room area. If the surgery is cutting on important and essential services, including the drinking water dispenser, that would mean we are to expect an extremely gloomy future, in my view.

  5. Review titled New appointment system not user friendly.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 August 2023

New appointment system is useless and dum. If you don’t have email address and internet you are as useless as their appointment system. They wanna upgrade their system But they don’t wanna upgrade their services. Maybe everybody Not ready for AI yet. Please make upgrades. To make life easier, better, helpful and to save time. Not add unnecessary steps to waste even more time and suffering. Maybe give option to opt out. To those who can't or unable to use their new system. Due to their conditions resources available to them, Like no wifi, internet even modern mobile or laptop also unable to read and write. Make easier for them to get appointment without new system. Be Positive Love you All.

  7. Review titled after 4wks i still cant a gp appt

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 May 2023

after spending several hours being caller no 18+ every weekday morning to try to get a gp appt, for last 4 weeks, i still have no gp appt and therefore no medical help. also after spending this many hours every weekday morning unsuccessfully to get a gp appt, i've used a lot of my strength & energy on this, when i am still back & forth to hospital with ongoing covid recovery and treatment, which has used up what little strength i have each day. i really do not understand, why the practice only release a handful of appts for next few days, at a time and patients have to scramble to get one of these appointments. i really do not understand, why this gp practice only release a months worth of appointments at a time and especially as when these are released these are always gone, every month. i really do not see how this system of releasing appts, allows for those of us, whom have physically limiting conditions, to access gp or any real help.

  8. Review titled Appointments very difficult to obtain

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2023

Too many callers in queue - no appointments when eventually answered - no online appointments. Sorry they are so busy, I,m sure they are trying their best but they are being paid for us to be cared for and the general health of their patients must be deteriorating..

The doctors have always been great when me, my daughter and husband have needed to see or speak to them. Great nurses and HCAs too.
