  1. Review titled Nurse practitioner at Manea is very rude

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2024

I recently needed to contact the practice as I was unwell. I was very impressed when I was first in the queue on the phone and reception answered very quickly afterwards. My usual practice couldn’t see me as they were closed for training but an appointment was scheduled at the Manea practice. This was with a nurse practitioner who I found to have no bedside manner. As I had been poorly for seven days, I required a “fit note” for my employer. The nurse queried if I really needed the note, (why would I be visiting in the first place and requesting a fit note if I felt well enough to work!?) She begrudgingly wrote me one, putting a reason on the note that was not why I needed to be signed off which showed she wasn’t listening to my concerns during the appointment. She told me that she “shouldn’t be doing this, other clinicians wouldn’t give a fit note for this.” Had she been listening to me during the appointment she would have heard why I felt the need to be signed off. I came away from my appointment feeling very upset. The au I was treated was the last thing I needed when feeling poorly.

Dear Anonymous I am very sorry that you had a bad experience. Your feedback is very important to us. Unfortunately as you have not given me your name I cannot investigate your complaint, we have a few ANP's who have worked at Manea recently so I am unsure which one it would be. It is never our intention to cause upset, and if you would like to send me your details, I am happy to investigate this for you. You can do this either in writing or by using the link on our website. 2. Review titled Really good doctor Dr eu too

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Keith Pope - Posted on 12 February 2024

Having seen doctor too very recently for an arthritis worry. I was very pleased he actioned a referral right away for both the specialist and for micro suction. I recieved the both today. Which is brilliant. Since we moved here 3 years ago we have had really good positive support. All the staff are helpful and kath in the dispensary is brilliant. Even when I have attended in an agitated state, they have helped. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Liza Webster - Posted on 13 February 2024

I contacted the surgery on the 8th of January to make an appointment for ongoing abdominal pain. I had to fill out a triage form and was given an appointment on the 8th February!! As the pain was getting worse (as mentioned on my triage form) I had to pay to see a private GP who referred me immediately for a colonoscopy and a CT scan - both of which I had done before the appointment date given to me by Fenland Group. I am now just awaiting those results.

Dear Ms Webster Thank you for your comments. I am sorry that you had to wait for a GP appointment. Unfortunately we cannot compete with private providers timeframes. We do appreciate that the additional houses being built across Fenland has meant that all the local services are under increasing pressure and we are doing our best to combat this. We have recently recruited 3 additional GP's who will be starting over the next few months, and we hope that this will help with some of the capacity issues that we are currently getting. Kind regards Sarah Fox Managing Executive
