    I have had to come to the surgery a lot recently with my partner and have been impressed by the recent changes that are obviously working. Listening to other patients talking it is obvious that getting an appointment is so much quicker and that being able to choose who you want to see means the whole process is much easier. The receptionists are doing a sterling job and the only suggestion I have is that if the doctors reception is closed, please make sure clear instructions are given on the door where to go and what to book in for at the nurses reception. I actually left my partner in the corridor (in the company of other elderly patients who were confused by where they needed to go) and went to find out. The confusion was caused by making sure you told the receptionist you were there for an ultrasound, that booking in your self was not just for the nurses but also the doctors who were seeing patients. Thank you also to the member of staff who put up the board signing the way to where the GPs were which was very successful, as I didn’t know there was a corridor linking the two places! Well done to all the staff at a time when it has been a difficult changeover which you have achieved very well. The practice is excellent overall as I found out recently when I had a number of problems to solve. Within 36 hours of receiving my email, the previously unavailable medication came through my letter box and my queries were answered. Five stars in my opinion.

    With the new system I was able to get an appointment on the same day, within 2 hours of filling out my online consultation. The surgery is very well run. The check in touchscreens are simple to use. The GP is friendly, personable and happy to help. A very smooth visit!

    I was told by a consultant that I had to see my GP. I have asked 3 times now - each time being asked to resubmit on Patches by reception. Still no response -- being assessed by triage!! I believe I will be seeing the consultant again before I get to the GP. And they say they are taking on new patients. They can't even deal with the ones they have got!

  4. Review titled Unacceptable delay for 'face to face' appointment.

    My request for an appointment to see a doctor regarding the sharp pains in my ankle which have been gradually getting worse has been put on the Priority Appointment List. The date I've been given is in 3 weeks time to see a paramedic. By this time there may be serious damage requiring major interventions. Is this a way to force me to visit the A&E department at Frimley, if so there is no wonder hospitals are being overwhelmed.

    On 16 Dec 2024 I attempted to contact the surgery and was advised by the automated system the best method would be to leave a message to the doctor who will then respond, this I did. Within a reasonable time I had a confirmation from receptionist saying that my message had been triaged by a clinician who will contact me soon. To date (27 Dec 2024) I have had no response. Thank you.

    I had an appointment to talk about peri-menopause symptoms and I was very pleased with the care I received. The GP listened to me and I felt that I was being taken seriously. We went through all of the options and the risks and benefits. The GP made sure that all my questions were answered. At no time was I made to feel rushed. I know that it can be difficult to get an appointment and they often run late, but the care that I received in the GP office was excellent.

    I had an appointment to see a GP yesterday. There was no one at reception due to staff shortage per a posted sign. I checked in 15min prior to my appointment time; after 45 min of waiting, I went next door to the nurses reception to ask if they could check on my appointment (as directed by staff sign). Whilst there the GP called me in which I missed and the nurses reception told me hurry back and you’ll go straight in. I went back and continued to wait a further 20min and did not see the GP until 1 hour and 5min past my original appointment time. The GP was barely apologetic and spent less than 4min with me. She put in a referral for an x ray and assured me if I walked over to radiology right then the referral is instant and on the system so I would be seen. I went over to x ray and they had no referral for me from the GP. The x ray department told me this bad communication was very common of this GP group. I had to go back over to the nurses reception who then had to message the Dr again to put in the x ray referral. By this point the x ray department had closed and I have to make a return visit. Thankfully the x ray department gave me their direct line to call them as, again, they said it was common of this group to not put in referrals correctly and I should call ahead to make sure it was actually put through. It was honestly one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with the NHS for what should have been a very straightforward visit.

I can see from your records that the GP you saw did raise the x-ray form at the time of consultation, however, it was not saved in the system which was human error and was why the x-ray department couldn’t view it.   8. Review titled "Good call" by GP

    My son who has complex needs is prone to UTIs, and we often submit samples for testing. On this occasion the GP, who had not met him before asked to see him. A thorough examination, including questioning us as he could not communicate, led to him recommending he go straight to hospital. Upon arrival we were taken straight through to re suss where our son was immediately placed on IV medication and fluids. He remained for 24 hours and was allowed home to complete his recovery. This was what is commonly known as "a good call" from the GP for which we are extremely grateful.

  9. Review titled Total disdain shown to my condition and my simple request

    My recent fast track cancer referral has resulted in the consultant increasing the dosage of my medication. However despite the urgency, and despite my history of self managing the dosage of this medication for the last 20 years, the practice stonewalls and refuses to authorise the prescription until it receives the letter. Since I cannot control that, I asked for an appoinment. I got "There are no appointments before Xmas" ie before about 3 weeks. On phoning the hospital, they agree that this Should be a simple matter. The practice tells me that one of the partners refuses.

  10. Review titled Terrible Booking Service

    The booking system is unbelievable. I have had to chase up while trying to book an appointment on five separate occasions and am currently two weeks in on waiting to hear back for an appointment they requested I make. I have ongoing health problems which are being dragged out as it takes weeks for them to reply to an appointment request and then you have to wait a month to actually have the appointment. Planning on investigating new doctors as I am in constant pain and am still waiting for a diagnosis after over a year of this terrible Service.
