I have been deaf in my left ear for my entire life. I have reoccurring ear infections in that ear which need a course of antibiotics. I know this because I have been dealing with this issue for 33 years. I don't even need to see a doctor, just a prescription for anti biotics. Tell me why I was told to go to a & e....for an ear infection. According to the girl on the phone she was following a checklist for which there is no room for nuance. I could not advocate for my own health care. When I called 111 after, they told me it was ridiculous to be told to go to the hospital for an ear infection. Incredibly frustrating experience. I cannot do anything to help myself in this situation. Certainly will not be clogging up a&e for 10 hours for something which is neither an accident or an emergency. We literally have no chance at all. 0/10 would not recommend.

I just want to say I am very happy so far with the appointment time frame I have received. I used econsult which was as it should be, thorough! I have just been informed that the surgery will see people who ring for an appointment at said surgery. That's welcome news.

Tried to ring doctors at Ernesettle but I was on automated, this was impossible to get through to a person as the automated phone kept cutting me off telling me they were experiencing a high number of calls!! I phoned all day and got the same response. I phoned 111 and they told me to get in contact with the surgery! I told them it was impossible as I had been trying for 2 days to get hold of someone. I asked her to write on my notes that I have been trying to get hold of the surgery, she reluctantly said she would put it on my notes, after an hour I got a call from the doctors. Frustrating and annoying. I now need another appointment and fear I will have to do the same thing again!! If I do have cancer how long does it take to grow waiting to get hold of a doctor!!!!

The team can audit your contact with the surgery to be able to see what has happened and if improvements are required going forward.
