    Service here is absolutely appalling. Truly disappointing and have finally decided to leave this practice as it's significantly impacting my mental health. The receptionist appear to be clueless, no one ever seems to know what they are actually doing and they all contradict each other. I am on anti-depressants and I have repeated prescriptions and I can't get them until I am seen by a GP. It takes multiple attempts to get through to the appointment line and when I'm finally first in the queue the line drops and I'm back to square one. If I manage to get an appointment I'm given an appointment slots within 3-4 weeks!! The website they continuously refer patients to use is awful and hardly ever works.

    I want to know my blood group ASAP as my daughter who had a baby is very very rare blood group and I'm concerned re my underlying health and history of blood clot

    Trying to get through to get an appointment is horrendous. Today’s wait was 45 minutes for my call to be answered to then be informed the next standard appointment is in 4.5 weeks time…appalling. It’s pot luck with the reception team too. Some are really helpful and polite others far less so. I know the surgery is under huge pressure but this is no fun from a patient perspective and the wait times for calls / appointments really need to be looked at.

    Thankfully, I’ve not needed to see a GP often. However, the few times I had to, it has been mission impossible (it’s been more so long since I saw a GP that I start to doubt if there are actually any working in the practice). When lucky, I got an appointment with the nurse practitioner (who thankfully are very good). Otherwise, I’ve been asked to call in a few weeks as there are not appointments and the calendar for the next ones has not been released yet. Today, I visited the practice to get an appointment with the nurse and one with the GP. I’ve been told I’ll have to wait over a month to see the GP and 3 weeks for the nurse. The receptionist was very unsympathetic, abrupt and not interested in helping. When I said I could not wait a month, she said my case was classified as routine based on 1 symptom and a 30 second one way-conversation. I very much doubt she has the necessary qualifications to make that assessment so in the end is not just the unpleasantness that you get but also they put their patients lives at risk. I have no doubt they have a big workload but this is not an excuse. I worked as a nurse in the NHS for over 15 years and no matter what you always try to treat patients respectfully and with dignity. She made me feel like she was doing me a favour and I should be thankful to even get an appointment instead of being my right as a tax payer. No wonder why illnesses and diseases are not being detected early enough. Sadly, primary care is just getting worse by the day and the only resort for people is end up in A&E / hospital in order to be seen by a Dr which consequently overwhelms these services.

    I really don't get why reception want to know why you wnt to see the gp for me its patient confidentiality, Often very personal triage in a hospital is done by a nurse! How can ra receptionist who do not have any medical training triage patients.

    Receptionist extremely empathetic and helpful. Really uplifted my spirits. GP gave me a phone consultation within 2 hours of calling and prescription sent to local pharmasist. Thankyou

    Waited 4 weeks for an appointment with doctor arrived 10 mins early was told by receptionist to take a seat through doors in waiting area ( from where you cannot be seen by receptionist) after waiting 50 mins went back to reception to enquire as to how much longer I would have wait to be seen only to be told the doctor had gone home. The receptionist had forgotten to book me in. Since the surgeries merger the service has become a bit of a shambles they cannot continue to blame Covid for this. Receptionists in general need to be given training as to how to deal with patients sympathetically. The receptionist I had on the above occasion was truly apologetic and did fit me in next day but in general my family’s experience with this surgery has not been a good one
