Appointments are scheduled but never been called on time. Always 30 minutes after my appointment time. Such an inconvenience because I’ve had to cancel other plans. What is supposed to be a 5-10 minute appointment turns to 1 hour or more. No apologies either.

Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear your experience with the surgery was not a good one. We always aim to make sure patients are seen within an appropriate timescale and we apologise that this has not been the case for you on this particular occasion. Sometimes patient appointments do run longer than anticipated and this is something that is out of our control. It may benefit you to join our patient participation group (PPG) where your valued thoughts and views on how we can improve our services can be heard first hand. If this is something that interests you, please give us a call at the surgery or a message on our Facebook page and we can give you some more information on the group. I and my family have been with this practice for over 70yrs and only attend when absolutely necessary, unfortunately I had the misfortune of having to contact them this morning as my daughter had a swollen neck and was finding it difficult to swallow, on eventually getting through to a receptionist I was informed that she should go to the chemist first rather than see a doctor, after an exchange of words explaining the risks of swollen airways and so I was reluctantly given an appointment, what has happened to our nhs
