the nurse did my smear today first one at this surgery .. .. she was amazing felt so relaxed and she was so welcoming and respectful I felt like I had known her years

Thankyou for helping us in a difficult situation. You are the GP for my daughter at University in Plymouth. I drove over to get her home to Cornwall today. Whilst they have no control over appt bookings, the reception staff were extremely helpful in doing whatever they could to help get an unwell, scared and alone student back to her family with medication. Thank you

just wanted to say that the past month of having to see your nurses once a week has been done with the utmost care and attention. they have been so supportive and kind during my visits that it has made it a lot easier for those visits to happen even when they took my stitches out they didnt rush and took their time to make me feel as comfortable as anyone could be whilst undergoing treatment my tuesday will be empty now for not seeing them but i just wanted to thank them again for all that they have done

I just want to say a huge thank you to all the team at the Elm Surgery for the fantastic service my son and I received yesterday. My son is an new Uni student, has just registered at the practice and urgently needed to see a Doctor. Following missed busses and last minute taxis, I needed to make a number of calls to the Surgery, each time I received helpful and compassionate advice and you did everything you could to accommodate us. My son then received exemplary care from the Doctor. All in all, an excellent first impression, many thanks indeed.

Received messages saying we have to use NHS app, this I’ve got but does not allow me to access anything apart from my name not link to doctors info, tried phone constantly engaged. Went to surgery to inform them the app doesn’t work . No one was on the phone but it still was engaged. Staff must have left it off the hook. It’s always a nightmare getting hold of reception so any queries you end up having to queue.

Impossible to get through on the phones , go online and try to book an appointment and just get a reply to ring the surgery , 40 plus minutes of being told your call will be answered in approximately 9 minutes . Gave up in the end . Will try to ring again when I really really have to but other than severe pain I won’t bother . Death comes to us all and ringing this service is a waste of life .

Just moved back to Plymouth after living in Cornwall for 11 years. Registered with Elm Surgery. Have had the most fantastic service from all the team there, doctors, receptionists, nurses. Well done.

I have suffered with my mental health significantly over the past few years, but in December, and today I have spoken to a paramedic and a GP who took the time on the phone call, it was not rushed. I have had call backs to check up and my experience as a patient was completely different to how it has been in the past. I felt like they really did care about me and how it was going. I want to thank them both for this!

Very caring, respectful, and professional staff of Doctors and front of house staff including nurses. Never have I had a dad experience at Elm Surgery, Estover, Plymouth as the entire team have always treated me very well which gives me the sense of being relaxed no mater which Doctor I am seen by. I have had many calls from the doctors over the last 8 years of my joining the surgery, and have always had very caring and understanding consultations from them. I can't say this about any other surgery I have been a member of.

Tried on numerous occasions for advice about how long waiting list for foot and ankle just told me to call to be put on cancellation list so I called and left a message but no one has called back in alot of pain but don’t seem to care at all even though I said I will have to go private which I can’t afford,why paying NI ? Staff at reception don’t care as they want to get you off the phone asap!!!
