  1. Review titled Great staff if you can get in contact

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Unable to reach them by phone, unable to do an eConsult despite its being daytime and working hours. Unable to make an appointment via the nhs app. How do you ever get to see a professional ? Can only get even worse when walk-ins stop. This isn’t the first time for this issue, seems to be consistent post covid.

  2. Review titled Awful practice with appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I try to use bare minimum NHS resources. No one like to be ill. The appointment booking system is completely awful and not helpful. Only way yo book appointment is patient access. If u miss slit you don't get to see Dr. There is no booking system over phone even after waiting 2 hours. When you ask the staff to book appointment they started educating how to access patient access. What on earth you decide to educateperson when they simple need to speak to Dr to get further assessment. They readout report over the phone and decided for you weather you need to speak to Dr or not. They lead the conversation to such a aggregation level the patient who is suffering, who wants to be heard get frustrated. We all understand no one like to hear raised voice but the senior staff is most rude and inconsiderate to ill patients. That senior member of staff lady was not ready to listen but eager show me how to book appointment online. It was not genuinely working online.I wish this ppl suffer with their own health and don't get any help from NHS. I don't know where to go if your own gp practice don't want to help out. Changing gp can be solution but this practice zero star out of 5.

  3. Review titled Big disappointment again!

I haven't resolved my health problem for months now. Been waiting to be referred to the specialist and each time I have to waste my time repeating myself again and again and nothing is happening. The reception staff is very unprofessional, hangs up in the middle of a conversation etc. When asking about my scheduled appointment, they are unable to confirm I have one, even if I have been told by the DR.

  4. Review titled Worst practice ever. Avoid.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve been a patient at the practice for over 20 years now. The quality of care and service from this practice has only been declining year after year. The worst of the service is the reception staff the most rude and disrespectful and unhelpful people I have ever interacted with, I do not know how they still have their jobs or if they are trained to be this way. Impossible to get an appointment, never do anything right, have to be chased up for absolutely everything and will randomly decide to deregister you from their systems whenever they feel like it with no explanation and no help to get back on the system. If it were not for the doctors I have been seeing since over 20 years ago I would not have stayed for a second. Definitely looking into switching which is a huge shame as some of the doctors there are incredible. Will absolutely be taking this up with further external organisations and ombudsmen because this practice should not still be running the way it is currently. Disgraceful that I’ve been to urgent care and a& more times in the past 3 years than my own gp. External investigation is critically needed here to assess the absolute mockery of the NHS system that this practice is.

  5. Review titled Unprofessional approach to patients.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been a patient of Ellis Practise I was happy for some time, but the last few years is getting worst and worst. The reception staff is rude, suggesting changing the practice rather than finding a solution to a problem. Some doctors are forgetting to send documents, some don't listen carefully etc. Every single time there are some issues. I do not recommend it.

  6. Review titled Impossible to make an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely impossible to get an appointment with this surgery, for a telephone consultation or otherwise. They won't give it to you over the phone. Sometimes I've waited for almost an hour in the line only to mysteriously having the call suddenly dropped once someone picks up the phone. They tell you to go to PatientAccess.... Sorry but I've looked for weeks, at all times of the day and never, ever I've been able to find an available slot. At least during the pandemic we could submit e-consults but now this is not available any longer. My only option is to end up spending a minimum of 5 hours in Northwick Park Hospital A&E when I need something from a doctor. My 3 year old has an UTI, both me and my husband work full time, we have 2 children, do you think I can spend a day of work in A&E to have something as simple as a short course of antibiotics prescribed? It's not a good use of the time of A&E doctors and nurses either!! How are families meant to cope with this situation? How are we meant to consult a doctor?

  7. Review titled Appalling Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

You cannot get appointments at this practice. Phone lines go dead when you get to first in line (after a 50 min wait), there is no e-consults and appointments are not released online as advertised. I managed to get an urgent appointment by calling 111 & they booked it for me at the surgery (inappropriate use of the 111 service though). Dangerous practice.

  8. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Jean Richardson - Posted on 14 January 2023

I have been a patient at this gp for 37 years. They have always looked after me, I have no complaints. There have been a lot of changes over the years, which have been managed well, with care of the patients. There are some difficulties now. It is almost impossible to see your "own" gp. The system for appointments is not easy. But I must say the staff on reception are so helpful and accomodating.. I would like say a big thankyou to the doctors, nurses and staff for caring for me and members of my family, at different times

  9. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

If you go in person or call, they'll refuse to give you an appointment and just refer you to Patient Access to get one online, where time slots are supposed to be released every hour. But it doesn't matter if you spend the whole day refreshing the page, you'll never find any slots available.

  10. Review titled Extremely poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 December 2022

It is impossible to obtain an appointment at this practise. We have waited for over an hour to make an appointment for a really sick child. Once you get to the front of the queue the system states that their sis fault and disconnects you. This is not the first time this has occurred. In each instance we have had to go to a&e. this is truly unacceptable. The nhs needs to look seriously into this practice as not obtaining appointments via telephone or Patient Access. This is a common theme both on the NHS site and across Google reviews for this practice!!!
