  1. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lynne Humphries - Posted on 04 March 2025

Considering the overwhelming number of cases the practice must be dealing with daily, I was so impressed that the practice contacted me on my GPs request to inform that all the instructions from discharge letter had been carried out, meds etc I was really grateful and it highlighted how switched on and organised the service is. . Not forgetting the polite and helpful receptionist

Thank you for taking the time and effort to leave this review. It is hard for us all - patients and the team at the moment given the pressures in the NHS but we do work hard to do the best for our patients - continuity and personal care mean so much. Many thanks Rachel Stark Practice Manager

  2. Review titled Don't feel looked after

Rated 1 star out of 5

Visited a year ago with back pain and was told to see how I get on. After multiple private sessions where I have paid for treatment, it has not improved so returned to have another assessment. Was not helped at all, after multiple requested for a scan it was refused. I have lost jobs and can no longer remain active due to the pain and that will come with its own issues. The doctor I saw was nice enough but ultimately did not help and did not further me on for treatment.

Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you do not feel that the sessions you organised privately have helped and that when you came back to us that you did not feel that we helped you. If you would like to get in touch directly, we can look at this again for you. Many thanks Rachel Stark Practice Manager

  3. Review titled Good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Suzanne Dempsey - Posted on 28 November 2024

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to see my own doctor within a few days of asking for an appointment. The doctor made a follow up appointment for me to see him the following week which was good as it gave more time to talk about the problem I had which I appreciated.

  4. Review titled Mixed review

Rated 2 stars out of 5

In general trying to get an appointment to see my designated GP is too long. My last experience was an 8 week wait. When I eventually saw my GP she was caring and spotted symptoms of what turned out to be a life limiting problem and I am now facing this. There was no real follow-up offering end of life care.

Thank you for leaving a review. I am very sorry that you have been diagnosed with the life limiting condition. It is important that you get the support you need during this difficult time so please do contact us to book an appointment to ensure we can make sure everything is in place. We agree that the waiting time for us, and the NHS in general, is lengthy at the moment. We find this very frustrating too as we want to see our patients much sooner. We are hoping that additional investment will come to General Practice soon so that we can provide much shorter waiting times. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review. Good advice, but took longer to get an appointment than I expected. Friendly GP not my assigned doctor but a locum I believe.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are really pleased that you found the advice helpful and thought the Doctor was helpful too. Our waiting lists are longer than we'd like at the moment, as the NHS is struggling with demand exceeding available resources. We work hard to do the best we can and we hope that extra investment in the General Practice will come soon so we can use it to shorten waiting times back to a level we - and our patients - want. Many thanks again for leaving a review. Kind regards Rachel Stark Practice Manager

Good experience seeing the physio, struggle to get appointments with doctors though. Evening, Saturday & Sunday slots should be made available unless more doctors can be recruited

Thank you for leaving a review. I am pleased that you found our First Contact Physiotherapist helpful. Our waiting lists are much longer than we would like at the moment. This is due to demand for NHS services, including ours, exceeding the resources available to provide them. We are campaigning with the BMA for the Government to address this and we hope that this will mean we can recruit the additional Doctors and Nurses we need to be able to reduce waiting times significantly. Many thanks Rachel Stark Practice Manager

Great medical center but as all NHS, we can wait for days or weeks for an appointment for doctor or to get referral

Thank you for leaving a review and saying we are a great medical centre. We agree the waiting times here, and across the NHS are much longer than we, and our patients would like. We work hard to provide the best service possible within the available resources. We hope that additional investment will come to General Practice soon so that we can reduce the waiting times. 8. Review titled Extremely poor service

by Neil - Posted on 29 November 2024

Having been with East Key medical Centre for over 30 years, my regular doctor had retired so I saw his replacement. unhelpful. did not bother to listen to my concerns., was more interested in telling me because at the moment I am staying in Bristol he basically told me I should not be registered with this practice and I was not welcome. my appointment was at 10:15. I eventually got to see this new inexperienced doctor at 11:05 would not recommend anybody seeing this doctor.. he was not interested in listening to any of my concerns or problems. I told him I had fallen over and landed with my elbow under my chest. He made no attempt to check my ribs., I have subsequently found out that I have cracked two of them

Dear Neil I am sorry that you are unhappy with the service with us. The Doctor was correct in that if you are not living in the area, you need to register with a local GP to your new address. Our waiting lists are so long, we have to enforce the practice boundary to be fair to the patients who do live within the catchment area. We would recommend that patient who have injuries attend the Minor Injury Unit, as they have the facilities, like x-ray, to make a diagnosis such a rib fracture. I hope it has been helpful for me to clarify these two points. Many thanks Rachel Stark Practice Manager

I rang at lunch time as I worried about a lesion which could have been skin cancer and got me an emergency appointment the same day.

On having difficulties in locating repeat medications on the GP access link I emailed the practice for advice . The following morning the practice contacted me and the receptionist was so helpful and ensured I got my meds . Outstanding
