Review titled The reception staff are the most unhelpful people

I have been trying to get an appointment for weeks to see a doctor, I can't physically call them at 8am as I am on the school run and it's not safe to call while i'm driving, I have been told to sign up to the online system which i have but you cannot book an appointment on there it tells you to call the surgery. Every time i call i am told there are no appointments or telephone appointment and to call back in a few days. I have explained the situation to the receptionist and literally begged her to help me at least speak to someone and i was told i need to call back in a few days. The reception staff have no empathy for people at all, they all sound like they hate their job and i can understand why people get cross with them.

East Leicester med prac is very good practice, from receptionist to GP,s. Our receptionits are friendly and helpful every time, our GP, s are great, make you feel valued as a patient, always have a positive experience, wouldn't want to change!!. Respect where respect is due. So thanku !!

Something that should take a maximum of 2 weeks takes 8+ weeks, having to call them repeatedly for any updates, Receptionist(s) seem to take no other action than to "leave a message for the manager" despite calling 15+ times in 8 weeks. I'm sure there's no manager in the world so busy it takes them 8+ weeks to do something so simple. Better off going to another medical practice.

In recent years I have needed you guys , my experience has always been very positive, we know getting approved can be a problem but when we do see our GP I find nothing but lovely doctors, not afraid to engage and take time to listen and if necessary ask you to come for another consult, I feel you have some really fab GP's I your practice and we should never take for granted how we'll we are looked after. And not forgetting our receptionist 's who are always lovely when dealing g with us so thanku to them too. A very happy new year to.you all.

I recently phoned the surgery regarding my medication. I requested to speak to the practice Pharmacist to request medication on standby due to a change in my condition. I found her to be extremely rude, muttering under her breath, words such as “oh God” I told her not to be rude, to which she said, “ you’re the one being rude! I have just discovered on my medical records that she added notes attesting to my! Rude behaviour! I am absolutely fuming at this allegation, i have considered making a complaint to the practice manager, however, it will probably be pointless and will go nowhere!

After taking ill over a weekend, I contacted the surgery at 8am Monday morning. For one of the busiest days, I was through to a receptionist in 7 minutes. Had a call back from a triage nurse at 9.15 and had an appointment with a practitioner at 10.40. Very pleased with this swift efficient service.

Appointments are nearly never available, the famous response is “call tomorrow at 8 in the morning” and when you call at 8 the appointments are already full. Reception team are very poor in communication and full of attitude. Hospital tests such as blood/urine test results takes weeks to be addressed and medicines to be prescribed.

It's impossible to get an appointment at this practice, I require a medicine review and was told to ring back a 8am ? I have multiple medical problems so getting up at 8am to be told when you finally get through that there are no more appointments is upsetting and frustrating, this practice is uncaring and they don't cater for the elderly who find it hard to get up early.

Surgery service is really poor. You will never get seen by the doctor or they will not support the patient and refere them accordingly.
