    I am really annoyed by the practice poor booking system via econsult. I have tried on several occasions to book. I leave all the work sit infront of the computer at 7:45 and keep trying to book. Till 7:59 the message says you can book at 8:00. Once it ticks 8:00 the message automatically says ‘you can book the next day at 8:00’. It is unbelievable. How can it be filled in no time? Trust me it is not my first experience. Every time it is the same. Unfortunately I have shelled out lot of money on private gps now. I would appreciate if the manager can come back to me with the number patients that they are seeing on daily basis booked through econsult. I am sure they should be able to do it as I have the right to know it, as long as I am not asking for personal details. Even if I try calling practice sharp at 8 am for morning apps and at 2 pm for pm apps - no appointment will be available. It’s shocking but I have never managed to see a GP from this practice till now. I would never ever recommend this practice as one will never see a gp once registered. They will have to call 111/ 999 and not gp for whatever problems they have.

    We are sorry you have had cause to complain - we are working under extreme pressure in the NHS at the moment and are trying our level best to meet the high demand on the service. The phone lines switch over at 8am when we open so trying to access the service prior to that time will not add you to the queue first. If you would like to discuss this further please contact and ask to speak to the practice manager.

    I accidentally ran out of meds. I was expecting the prescriptions clerk to say it was my own silly fault and that she couldn’t help. Instead she couldn’t have been more sympathetic and helpful. She issued a strip to tide me over and also made sure that that strip would not be subtracted from my next renewal. This practice obviously has an ethos of being as helpful as possible. And I’ve noticed this in the medical staff as well. You’re doing a great job, thanks and keep it up.

    Was sent an urgent message from surgery at 7, which caused immediate alarm. When opened it was only to tell me my appointment was cancelled. This was clearly not a message requiring my immediate attention, particularly since the surgery doesn't open until 8. I was asked to call rearrange, since the cancellation was not caused by me, the onus is on the surgery to call me. Zero complaint about the GP when seen. These reviews should allow separate commentary regarding the medical & admin staff because the care of patients needs do not always match.

    I had a same day appointment could not make the morning. What was an offered a late night appointment which suited me perfectly. The admin staff took my medical history from moving over to the United Kingdom from Ireland and insured that I was able to get all of my medical history sorted

    Excellent service, extremely helpful, the receptionist who helped me with my concern’s called me back as promised and was seen out of hours face to face appointment same day! Can’t fault the staff at East Barnet Heath Centre. Thank you very much!

    I was not sure when I moved to the area and registered how it would be. But got appointments for my sons quickly and when asked for referrals they provided that as well.

    Receptionist rude, not helpful at all they don't care, called every day to book to see GP, and explained to the receptionist the issue. They are like robots, poor service,worst surgery in barnet

    Pre covid this was an excellent surgery. Sadly now it is extremely difficult to obtain an appointment. Online appointment booking and e consultations hardly ever turned on . Such a shame as receptionists and gps have always been pleasant. I don’t understand why Gp service never returned to pre covid ways as everywhere else has. Was first in line for appointment but yet I had to hold for 20 minutes then when we did get an appointment it was 50 minutes later than appointment should have been.
