    Geared up to start HRT, not an easy acceptance, had to wait a week to talk to a GP, didn’t get the booked call, chased up told “don’t know what happened” now over another week to wait for a call, after seeing such a lovely GP and being assured I could call and it would be sorted, feeling really let down!

    I thought when things changed and this surgery became part of Don Valley Healthcare the service would change but obviously not i have had three appointments for my sons Ears to be syringed and all three times when we have arrived oh sorry the nurse on today is unable to do under 16 year olds and then oh sorry we have double booked you will after make another appointment, totally incompetent they could not run a bath never mind a surgery three times my son has spent days putting ear drops in ready for the nurse to syringe them and three times you have failed to even look at his ears meanwhile he now cannot hear anything as the drops have made it worse you are supposed to be there to help and make people better not worse you are a complete joke and a waste of peoples time.

    All staff at Don Valley Healthcare are absolutely amazing, I have never been declined an appointment with them unlike other surgeries.

    Had concerns this morning about a mole on my back which had partly turned black and was itching. I rang Bentley surgery and spoke to a care navigator within 5 minutes at 9.50am She arranged for me to see a GP at the Sprotbrough practice at 10.20am. I saw the GP who looked at the mole and told me it wasn't a mole but nothing to worry about. He then described in detail what it actually was. He was very professional and caring, putting my mind at ease and his happy demeanour was a pleasure!

    I’m a manual wheel chair user and the ramp for this surgery is very steep. Absolutely no help was offered to me with the doors or getting up the steep ramp The appointment was supposed to be to be measured and a blood test with a nurse. I was told I don’t do measurements. You need to see a nurse. She was a nurse! and then went on to tell me I was 3 minutes late. Had they helped me to access the building I’d have been on time. I had the blood test done and was told to book in at reception who were having a conversation about their personal lives and failed to notice I was there. They then proceeded to talk down to me which I really took offence to. It felt like it was too much trouble to help me and to leave I was not offered any help what do ever. I’m not happy at all. It’s happened to me before and I’ll not be going back to them. Not recommended at all.

    I've had my repeat prescription for around 20 years at 3 month at a time, I orderd it last Wednesday as normal to collect it sat 18th Feb to only then realise the 'prescription service' has now changed it to a 28 days prescription without any consultation with myself from anyone or in any way. I called the doctor at 8am this morning to redial 324 times, when I get to the surgery their phone isn't even ringing and its because the line is actually busy so there's 1 phone line for all surgery's. Im now waiting for a call from the 'prescription service' to try and sort my repeat prescription which I was never consalted about the change

    Contacted the Practice with acute joint pain. Received phone call from one of the Practice GPs after minimal delay and my problem was addressed over the phone. Picked up the prescribed prescription the same day with good relief of my pain. Excellent service.

    Ongoing Issues with myself. The Medical staff are always on hand to help. Medical staff still care about their patients and have compassion these days its very rare to find your not being treated as just a number. Will always be grateful for the help I have received from each member of staff including reception/admin. Would 100 percent recommend and wouldn't go any where else.

    Having visited the practice this morning to see a nurse as required I was instructed to go down to reception to book an appointment immediately as she had concerns over certain aspects of my health. I went to reception as instructed and I was asked what way the problem in front of four other people which I didn’t want to discuss as: 1. It is a private matter 2. She is not qualified to discuss the matter I repeatedly explained that I should see a GP as the nurse said it was a matter of importance but I was told that I could not book a forward appointment without disclosing my symptoms and she would have to consult with the nurse. I was instructed to sit down until she could get a minute to speak to her which I declined as the queue behind me was growing and I could be there quite a while as the nurse was on her next patient. What I am trying to understand is that either the nurse isn’t qualified to instruct a receptionist to both an appointment or the receptionist out ranks the nurse and questions the validity of the nurses request.. Very very poor service.

    My young daughter was unwell yesterday morning, called the Practice, had a call back with a lovely GP (not long after I initially called) and she was booked in that afternoon. While in the waiting room my daughter had two pretty bad panic attacks, the lady on Reception was lovely and really helpful, offered water, let us wait outside and messaged the GP. Once in to see the GP, she was so lovely, really calming, spoke to my daughter directly rather than to me, about her (which we both appreciated), she reassured my daughter and went on with the consultation. She was very thorough. Gave my daughter a prescription and offered to contact me next week to check in on her. Excellent service. I have been with The Nelson Practice since birth and have always had brilliant service, in my opinion this hasn't waivered at all since the merge as Don Valley Healthcare.
