Review titled Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024
Can never get a reply. It took me three days to get an appointment for 2 weeks away. Then on the day I was caught up in traffic due to the a48 being closed, I tried to call but there was no answer. I was 20 minutes late and was told they were at capacity, despite the waiting room being empty. I am now changing doctors as this isn't the first time I have had problems with them.

Dear Patient, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you could not be seen. Our telephone system currently does not indicate to patients that they are in a queue and just appears to ring while they wait, we are hopeful that NHS England finds a solution to the issue of Broadband access within the area that will allow us to purchase a new and better system While we understand that the A48 was closed from 1230 hrs, we only have one GP appt that was missed that day as there were diversions in place, but we understand that you may have been within the affected area. Late in the afternoon the waiting room is generally less busy, but please be aware that there were only 2 GPs that day and both had dealt with far more patient contacts than is actually recommended by the BMA and it was therefore not possible to fit anything else in at the time of your arrival. Regards Practice Manager

Review titled Upsetting experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

After trying online, calling, visiting the surgery, I was told by a receptionist that if I wanted an appointment with a specific doctor, then I had to write a letter! I was so devastated, shocked and upset, I just walked away. I have been worrying about a certain condition I have for a long while and just want to talk about it. Absolutely disgraceful!

We believe there may be a misunderstanding here - we normally recommend that patients see the next avail GP to avoid lengthy delays due to GP absences etc. Anythiong causing concern can be seen by any of the GPs. It is likely that the Receptionist recommended writing a message via the Practice Website (Dashboard) where the message is passed to the requested GP to review and recommend next course of action.

We've only called twice, but each time the receptionist has said they are too busy and can't help. It felt like they couldn't get off of the phone quick enough. We will be looking for a new doctor surgery

Visited the Surgery at 0830 to request an appointment, the receptionist asked a few questions, she asked if i would see a trainee doctor, ten minutes i was being seen too, after further questions from a locum Doctor i then had a prescription and collected it all by 0930. Well done to the receptionist, trainee Doctor and the Locum, never had this before.

Review titled Difficult to contact
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anne Lamacraft - Posted on 27 July 2022
The Dr's and nurses are excellent when you get to see one. The reception staff do not answer the phone. I tried for 2 hours on 26th July from 0900 to 1100. I tried again on 27th July, and she did answer only to tell me there are no appointments today and the only way to get acquick appointment is to call again tomorrow at 0839 and request an emergency appointment, when I will get a telephone call with the Dr, who will then book me a face to face appointment to see the infection. This practice used to rate as 5*. The seminar side is letting you down.
