Ordered repeat medication on 11th Jan 2024 went to surgery n 23rd Jan 2024 as out of certain medication, they have no record of my order, had received an email confirming order at 2.02 pm on Jan 11th.Had same problem month before waited 12 days to confirm medication ready. What has happened to the once very good system?

We have had a number of challenges during November through to early January in particular, which have affected our service and I apologise for this. New to the practice. It’s worlds apart from my last. Loving the vending machine outside! Haven’t seen this anywhere before. Had to take script to a chemist as didn’t have stock but then chemist didn’t have it either, can’t complain. Lots of stuff seems to be in short supply everywhere. Reception team very friendly and so far can get through and book face to face appointments. Unheard of at my last doctors. Thanks Denton

Please can I pass on my thanks to both the reception staff and the doctor who responded so promptly when I called about my teenage son’s difficulty with breathing today. Everybody went over and above to support us and absolutely listened to my concerns - from arranging a return phone call within about 5 minutes, to ensuring we could see a doctor in person within half an hour of my initial call. We are very grateful.

This is a well oiled machine that really does look after its patients as far as I am concerned. From the recent Covid jab programme, where you scarcely had time to get your jacket off, as everyone was so efficient, to more specialised Consultations, where an appointment is granted quickly, and if an emergency, a phone back is carried out in the same afternoon. The " Hole in the Wall" Medication Dispense system is a great investment, and certainly is good for us patients and I hope that it frees up the Dispense Team to do more of what they are good at. During a 60 health check the nurse explained what the tests were for and how they would be completed. Also she explained the results so I understood what the consequences were (good as well as not so good). She offered me lifestyle choices and sent links on my mobile so I could obtain further information. Felt relaxed during the session. Thank you

It is a good surgery and the majority of staff are very professional. I dislike the nationwide trend of instructing administration staff who answer the call to ask the reason for the call. Some will do this as sensitively as they are able and are almost apologetic in the request, because lets face it, it is a breach of privacy. However occasionally you are confronted with someone who's manner is aggressive and full of entitlement, and when you explain that you have given them as much information as you are willing, they persist in an argumentative tone. I had that experience a few months back and the person sounded very young, and when you are dealing with patients who are not feeling well, maybe mentally not in a good place, you need to make sure that those answering the phone do so sensitively and with respect!

Our receptionists are trained Care Navigators and will explore the reason for calling with all our patients, this is to ensure they are booked in with the right clinician, at the right time. I am sorry if this was done in an intrusive style, this is not the intended purpose of our approach. I am keen to investigate this for you. I’ve been seen twice at the practice and both times it has been very professional and uncomplicated. The staff at the front, along with the doctors and nurses are all friendly and helpful. Could not recommend the practice anymore - great job!
