  1. Review titled Best Practice in Grays

The front office staff are always warm and welcoming, though they might be under pressure, but you would never know it. They take time to offer help and give alternatives if appointments are not available on the day. The Doctors and Nurses are informative and take time to actually listen to you, so that they can fully access your needs to give you the right course of treatment. The surgery waiting room though small, is always clean and tidy.

  2. Review titled Hard to get an appointment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

In my case I'm available for appointment only on Friday, and I cannot book an appointment in advance. Called Friday 9am, staying on the line for about 30min and not getting an appointment is quite disappointing. And I predict that it will be the same next Friday.

We are very sorry you were unable to get an appointment on Tuesday (yesterday). These are unprecedented times with huge raise in demand for appointments in the wake of surging Group A Streptococcal infections among children and adults as well as high number of upper respiratory tract infections. We have never received as many calls at 9 am asking for appointments as during past two weeks. What did not help yesterday, was that every second Tuesday of the month all GP surgeries in our area have so called Time To Learn - mandatory training afternoon, therefore the surgeries are open only until 13:00. To clarify, you can book appointments not only by calling on the day. You can pre-book appointments in advance for any non-urgent issues. Yesterday, you were also advised that you can get help by calling 111 after 13:00. 111 service is always helping out when the surgeries are closed for T2L. Another option to contact surgery to get a medical advice is to use the e-consult on our website: https://www.dellandstanford-le-hopemedicalcentres.nhs.uk/
