    I understand that during COVID, times were difficult but now we are out of the worst of it, the surgery doesn't seemed to have got back up to speed. I have been trying to speak to someone for medical advice regarding my son since 08:00 this morning, it is now 10:30 and I have only just got through to the queue (18:00 minutes on hold and only as far as queue position 8 at the time of writing this). If this was a same day appointment call, I wouldn't have been able to get one due to the time lapsing. We were moved to this practice as the one near us on Queens Bower Road closed, I wish they hadn't closed in all honesty. I am considering moving to another surgery. The service is appalling in my opinion, I would not recommend it to anyone.

  2. Review titled “Exceptional volume of calls”

    How can the number of calls be exceptional when you can never get through? It needs to say “once again we are inundated with calls because we can’t cope, you can keep trying but you probably won’t get through” I have been trying daily for weeks for an appointment for my 5yo and I am yet to even get in a queue. Yesterday I went to the practice in person only to be rudely addressed and told to come back again because there was nothing next week. This is beyond ridiculous. Where are we supposed to go? What are we supposed to do? They haven’t updated their practices for 30 years. What business do you know of where you can’t book online? These antiquated methods need to change. Absolutely disgusting.

  3. Review titled Poor access to GP services

    I attempted to contact my GP surgery to get an urgent medical appointment for my daughter. I called over 30 times between 8:00 am and 10:00 am but received a recorded message each time about what to do in an emergency and then was hung up. I finally got connected to a queue and the phone was answered after 1 hour 20 minutes. I was informed there were no GP appointments available and I should go to the urgent care centre. My daughter is feeling very poorly and needs antibiotics for a repeated infection- she does not need to go to an urgent care centre- in fact, that is likely to make her condition worse. In my experience this seems to be the normal level of functioning now at GP surgeries that are unable to cope with the demand. I wanted to log my experience today of being unable to access the health service my daughter needs.

  4. Review titled worse experience ever

    I had few times bad experiences with this practice and i never put bad review but this time i will because I am a patient 4 years there and i think is the time me and my family to change GP. The waiting lists are so long and so stressful i am always number 10 in the que and the line just going down before I speak with someone and then i need to call again. I spend always 45 minutes minimum to speak with the receptionist that they think they are doctors asking so many questions why you want to book appointment that make you feel uncomfortable. I had my blood tests a week ago I spoke with the receptionist 3 times and they messing around with me they told me the blood results are back and today I called again they said the blood test are not back and i need to call tomorrow again. Also I need to mention that they missed a blood form for my partner referral that was extremely urgent and we still waiting after a week the GP to referral him again for the blood test that they missed. So if you have alternative GP avoid Daybrook Practice

    I am truly appalled at how this GP practice is ran. There is no possible way of getting a same day appointment- the lines are constantly busy an reccomend you call between the hours of 8:30/10:30 to which you get cut off due to such high demand calls. I then phoned to book a future appointment seen as I could not even get though to the line of same day appointments and was told that there is absolutely no availability and my only option was to go to Boots pharmacy and pay a fee. I don’t have an issue with paying the price of a private pharmacy however I do have an issue with the whole booking system. I then asked another question regarding myself and had the phone put down on me. I think this doctors is outrageous.
