  1. Review titled Unable to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 November 2023

For 3 days now I have called on the dot to get an appointment for my baby to be told they are fully booked. How is this possible if I am calling on the dot when they open? Absolute joke of a surgery.

I have been with this practise since 1972 with all the changes that have taken place. I am so happy with this practise from the reaction staff through the nursing staff to the doctors. They are all extremely efficient and caring. Cannot recommend the surgeries high enough

  3. Review titled Unbelievable Service.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This won’t be short! I intend to use up all of the three thousand characters in the allowance. And still I won’t have enough to cover all the superlatives needed to describe how happy and stunned I am at the care provided to me by a new doctor to me and the admin team at Cuxton Medical centre. My new Doc read me immediately and knew exactly how to get the important points across. It’s a relatively serious issue and this was proved further by the phone calls I received throughout the afternoon when the Doc (under NHS guidelines I am not allowed to name this quite brilliant person) called me to tell me what she’d been doing and the appointments she was still trying to get for me. Later that same afternoon I was being seen by a surgeon in the specialist unit! Surgeons are a different breed and I left the unit with questions in my head. I called my doctor and the team set up a call for me where I had these questions, and more, answered. The NHS seems to be getting some bad press these days but I received care full of empathy, compassion and knowledge. I received it in a fun and professional way. If you’re looking for a doctor, for a surgery and that genuinely cares then I suggest you move to Cuxton.

Dear Paul Thank you very much for the detailed feedback. We can inform the doctor whom you spoke with, if you let reception know. There is a lot of negativity at present about the NHS, as you say, so it is nice to hear a good-news story.
