Review titled I am very thankful to the doctor who saw me today

I needed an emergency appointment today around 5pm. The receptionist I spoke with (I wish I took his name) was ever so helpful and pleasant to talk to. He explained the process and assured me that a doctor would call. And a doctor called within 20 minutes and he offered to see me straightaway. I am so impressed by how the doctor listened to me and how he explained the possible causes of my problems. He arranged further tests and referrals. He asked some very interesting questions and he went way beyond just prescribing some medicine. I left the surgery feeling in good hands.

Consultation was extremely reassuring and informative as to my medical condition. It’s nice to come out of a GP appointment feeling listened to.

Contacting the surgery go an appointment is so stressful and has been for a very long time. Calling on the dot at 8am to see a GP is like a lottery, I was caller 36 today . I dread calling and often just don’t bother when I am ill. I need to see a GP to check if my treatment has worked but I can’t get to see the same GP or even get an appointment. GPs are really hit and miss in respect to their ‘bedside manner’. I’ve been made to feel really stupid and like a malingerers or really respected and ‘heard’. I have a neurodivergent condition which is not going to go away and the whole process causes great anxiety. I dread the day I am really unwell.

Health review experience at Crown Street surgery. The nurse and reception staff were all very emphatic, kind and respectful.l was moved by their selfless care. I am very grateful.

I tried to book a non urgent appointment within the next few weeks. There was not even one available. Not a single one. I didn’t actually know what to say to person on reception as if service is not provided it is not fit for purpose.

I have to bring an elderly relative here at least a couple of times a month, the staff always greet her by name, it's really a pleasure to visit

My aged aunt registered with this practice a year ago but has had very poor service. Her carers call constantly to arrange referrals, but the referrals never happen. The receptionists have been told over and over that my aunt is housebound and immobile but when asked to arrange blood tests or physical therapy constantly ask my aunt to attend a clinic or other outside address. Actually getting through to a GP appears to be impossible. Urgently looking for a new GP, which is why I'm on this site...

I had few bad experiences with this GP, today I was waiting for 40 min, after I check in on the reception, and cause they never called me in I went and ask. Found it that the woman who supposed to checked me in left cause her shift was over, around 6pm , and that the doctor won’t be able to see me, cause “I was late” When I was there sitting and waiting for 30 min earlier than my consultation.. and best think they could do for me is a call me and see when they can book me next. Also gp was completely empty.. Horrible and not care experience I would not recommend this place
